Batman Assault on Arkham

"The movie takes place, maybe two years before the first video game, which is Arkham Asylum," says Jay Oliva, director of Batman: Assault on Arkham.  As far as the plot goes, "Basically, the story is, Amanda Waller pulls together a bunch of criminals to steal something that the Riddler has," says legendary voice director Andrea Romano.  Screenwriter Heath Corson adds, "The Riddler has hacked [Waller's] computer and has downloaded a list of everyone who could possibly be in the Suicide Squad." This most likely means that the Suicide Squad is sent into Arkham to silence the Riddler before the list is released into the open.

The rest of the creative talent goes on to say that Batman doesn't actually come into the film until a bit later and that initially, the camera is showing events from the perspective of the bad guys.  The screenwriter, Corson, then adds that one of the first decisions needed to be made on the project, was deciding the roster of the Suicide Squad, which has had a lot of members come and go over the years.  The first selection everyone agreed upon was Deadshot, then Captain Boomerang.  "Right off the bat, you'll know that Captain Boomerang and Deadshot don't like each other," says Oliva.  The next member to be finalized was Harley Quinn.  The other members are King Shark, Killer Frost and Black Spider.  Although, my suspicions are high about Black Spider.  Don't be surprised if under that mask, it turns out that it's really Rick Flag, Jr or Steve Trevor. Also appearing in the film are Batman adversaries, the Joker, Penguin and as previously mentioned, the Riddler.

Hope this one will be better than Son of Batman. And where is our Aquaman flick since they made the retarded decision of leaving him out of War.

This sounds more like a Suicide Sqaud movie featuring Batman than the other way around, not that I necessarily have a problem with that.

Hope there's more Batman to this than is implied...I'm disappointed that it wasn't CG like the Arkham game trailers, too.

@ Ruhail same here. Son of Batman looked very cheap in some parts. I thought the best part was Robin's animation. I found the whole story a bit of a stretch and didn't really go in for Deathstroke being part of the League of Assassins. In War Superman's and WW's characterisation was terrible otherwise movie was ok.

If you want to make a suicide squad movie then make a suicide squad movie. I feel this is going to be a situation where I enjoy either the Suicide Squad aspect or the Batman aspect and that one is going to distract from the other.

Either way the fact it is a prequel to the first game limits its lifespan and re-watch ability. Will probably watch it once online and then forget it completely.

First people complain that there's too much Batman. After they see Batman is a secondary character, they complain there's too little Batman.

It's great to hear Conroy's voice again. I'm just not a fan of O'Mara's Batman...

huh, because Rocksteady Studios makes games and cutscenes for games
and DC Universe´s animation studios make regular looking animations?

Penguin's in it? But he isn't crazy...Completely.

The lineup I want to appear as residents of Arkham in this movie are;

-Joker
-Killer Croc
-Scarecrow
-Mad Hatter
-Poison Ivy
-Victor Zsasz
-Calendar Man
-Doctor Destiny/Maxie Zeus

If any of those aren't thrown in, I'll rage.

Just because Kevin Conroy is back in the voice of Batman will be best than "Son of Batman"...

They were originally going to do Batman animated as every other movie, but I guess they are doing another Batman movie now to go with Batman's 75th Anniversary.
So JLA-Throone of Atlantis (Aquaman's movie) will be after Arkham. Too bad becasue id much rather see Throne of Atlantis... although I do like the fact that this movie has Suicide Squad taking center stage.

Why don't they just call this a suicide squad film?? Hope it better than son of batman which wasn't all too good. Damien was realllly annoying in that. Whoever his voice actor was---he stunk.

Troy Baker has the Joker voice down pat.

This might as well be called The Suicide Squad lol. Looks cool though. Since they keep focusing on Batman can we get a story that has more Dick Grayson? Or hell even Tim Drake would be awesome. They've got great stories too. I'm Mad that Damien was the first Robin we got in the animated movies (not counting Under The Red Hood

I dont understand the JL War hate. i enjoyed that movie. Some of the voices were hard to get used to (and I never got used to Batman's voice) but the movie itself was a lot of fun and the build up to Throne of Atlantis was a nice touch too
