Hayden Christensen Responds To BATMAN Rumors And Explains Why Darth Vader Would Beat Thanos

Hayden Christensen reveals whether he'd be interested in playing the DCU's Batman after previously exploring the duality of Anakin Skywalker and argues that Darth Vader would make short work of Thanos.

In recent weeks, you may have seen a rumour floating around social media about Hayden Christensen being eyed to play The Brave and the Bold's Batman.

It would be cool to see the iconic Star Wars actor land a high-profile superhero role but, unfortunately, we don't think Batman is going to happen for him. On the plus side, he'll likely have a lot to do in the coming years as Anakin Skywalker (starting with the upcoming Ahsoka season 2).

In an interview with GQ, Christensen answered many of the internet's questions, including whether he'd like to suit up as the DCU's Dark Knight.

"Batman is a great character, but I think that Robert Pattinson did a really great job," he said. As for which side of the hero he would be most interested in playing, Christensen added, "Oh. It's the dichotomy of the character, I don't know, you gotta have one and the other."

"Probably more Bruce Wayne would be the easier character for me to access personally."

In Revenge of the Sith, Christensen was fortunate enough to wear Darth Vader's iconic suit and did so again in both Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ahsoka. He's getting pretty comfortable in the Sith Lord's boots and made it clear Vader would triumph over the MCU's greatest villain when asked about a possible clash.

"Obviously Vader, right?" he responded. "Definitely Vader. Vader beats everybody, always."

Earlier this month, Christensen played coy when asked about his Star Wars future. "Look, as to whether or not we see Anakin again, I don't know. But as evidenced by that last shot of the series, he’s with her in spirit, and they continue to have this connection," he teased.

In both Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ahsoka, the actor also suited up as Vader again. Asked how it felt to have all eyes on him on set, he said, "It is a character that people have a lot of affection for, and yeah, you get a sense of that."

"A lot of the people who are working on these projects now grew up on the prequels and were huge fans of those films, and so I think they have a special connection to these characters and to Anakin. Anytime Vader shows up, that's a crowd-pleaser, so that's an easy one. But it's really nice to see the support that Anakin has now."

I don’t see any truth to him being eyed for Batman… however, if he was cast as Batman…

That mother[frick]er would have to be the luckiest SOB to play BOTH Darth Vader and Batman. That’s peak alpha.

@Se4M4NSt4ine - first time I’m even hearing about this rumor too but yeah…

I don’t think it’ll happen but if true then damn , leave some for the rest of us lol

@TheVisionary25 @Se4M4NSt4ine - this site is my only source for pop culture news, and I don't think I've seen it on here either.

I could see him Bruce Wayne though, although I think I'll prefer as Snapper Carr or Adam Strange. Atleast someone outside of main Batman mythos.

@bkmeijer1 - Adam Strange is not a bad one.

@Se4M4NSt4ine - Technically Ben Affleck played both Superman and Batman (and Daredevil too), which I always thought was pretty neat.

Bro If he's talking about of a fully infinity-powered Thanos... No way. The writer would really make an effort to do it.

See how his response to being asked about Batman is to say how good of job Robert Pattinson is doing? Because Robert Pattinson is the current Batman and he doesn't want to replace him.

This is how the GA look at things. This two Batmen thing is gonna be weird for them.

I can’t really see him as Batman but I think he could work as Harvey Dent/Two Face or even Hush in the Reevesverse/DCU…

However if we are talking about heroes , I could perhaps see him as an older Barry Allen/The Flash.

Anyway , I have liked his recent performances as Anakin better than the Prequels for the most part but it would be nice to see him outside of the SW franchise again aswell!!.

Would love to see Christensen get a shot at a huge role. But it's doubtful Gunn would consider him.

As much as I hate Disney Star Wars, the one Star Wars series they could do that I'd have to watch, would be a deeper look at Anakin's unseen story. The Jedi seemed to be biased against him from day one. Afraid & jealous. Anakin was played by Palpatine in ways that have not been done in live action. Palpatine was behind the Sandpeople killing Shmi and Anakin's visions. The Jedi acted like Anakin was wrong to even care about Shmi and prevented him from checking on her.

A huge missed opportunity Lucas had in the prequels was to have a rival to Padme who wanted Anakin. And as much as Anakin was obsessed with Padme, maybe it would've been wise to have had Anakin cheat on Padme, to create the possibility of another child of Anakin. Maybe the rival could have been serving Palpatine by feeding Anakin's resentment of the Jedi. Why it was needed though is that it would've created more tension which the prequels needed.

Since Disney likes to retcon Star Wars, that is something that could be done in an Anakin series.

Those Star Wars prequels made this dude kind of a joke for multiple decades. Now he's a guy that some fans would want to play Batman? Helluva comeback.🤣

Thanos is beatable without infinity stones. If he has some stones I would give Vader a 1 out of 14,000,605 win ratio.
