JOKER Character Description May Hint At The Inclusion Of Another Classic BATMAN Villain
As the supporting cast for Todd Philips' standalone Joker movie continues to take shape, we have a new character description which may hint at the inclusion of another classic Batman baddie. Check it out.
From what little we know of Warner Bros. and director Todd Philips' Joker origin film, it won't be taking much inspiration from the DC Comics source material. However, this latest character breakdown may hint at a strong Batman connection.
The description was unearthed by the guys over at Omega Underground, and while the name given is "Mr. Warner," it certainly sounds a lot like Rupert Thorne.
MR. WARNER Supporting Male (60-70) [MR. WARNER] male, Caucasian, 60s, a deeply-tanned, hair dyed so black it was almost blue, highly successful, New York City businessman, rumoured to be running for Mayor. He’s a public figure in the city and a symbol of wealth [STRONG SUPPORTING]
First introduced in the late '70s, Thorne was a corrupt politician who ended up becoming a powerful crime boss in his bid to become mayor. The villain is believed to have been the influence for Christopher Walken's Max Shreck in Batman Returns.
Of course, this Warner fellow might also be a completely new character. Hopefully we'll find out more once an actor signs on for the role.
What do you guys think? Could this be Thorne? Let us know in the comments down below.
