Joker is still shooting in New York City and we've been treated to a lot of revealing set photos in recent weeks as a result. However, this new video might just be the most mind-blowing to date!
According to the YouTuber who uploaded this - THEMAJESTIRIUM1 - the Batmobile shown below was being used on the set of the DC Comics adaptation which we had been led to believe takes place in a world without a Batman. However, seeing as Thomas Wayne is in his 60s in the movie, Bruce being a child or even a man in his 20s would make sense and it might just be that this "Elseworlds" story takes place in a reality where the billionaire's parents never died.
So, what's the deal with this Batmobile? Well, the first thing you'll probably notice is the fact that it's almost identical to the one used in the original Batman TV series!
The uploader isn't a comic book fan or troll; in fact, his page is usually dedicated to sharing videos of the New York Fire Department. With that in mind, he's probably not just looking for attention but it is, of course, possible that this Batmobile was actually being used for something else. Then again, with Joaquin Phoenix's Joker inspired by Cesar Romero's, who's to say this car won't be inspired by the '60s show too?
Who knows, but if Batman is actually in Joker, this movie just got a whole lot more confusing, right?
Joker centers around the iconic arch nemesis and is an original, standalone story not seen before on the big screen. Todd Phillips’ exploration of Arthur Fleck (Joaquin Phoenix), a man disregarded by society, is not only a gritty character study, but also a broader cautionary tale.
Joker is set to be released on October 4th, 2019.
