Batman's next on screen appearance won't be until the highly anticipated Man of Steel sequel, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. Since his last appearance on the big screen was over two years ago, fans have been clamoring for more of The Dark Knight.
Fortunately for fans, Brett Culp has been on a three year long journey to share with the world a heart-warming and incredible documentary that focuses on Batman and the way the superhero's characteristics help inspire the people who one way or another happen to cross paths with the Caped Crusader.

There is a reason why Batman is one of the most popular superhero characters in the world. In a world where there are people who run faster than the speed of light, have "special rings" that can create anything the mind can imagine to fight crime and where a man has steel like skin and can lift entire planets, The Dark Knight is still held in high regard by them. No superpowers, only his intellect, dedication and will to fight injustice and overcome the most impossible of odds to keep not only the people closest/dearest to him safe but also his city/world.

The documentary, which was inspired by Mr. Culp's own experience features interviews with Michael Uslan and Dennis O'Neil, along with the stories of several people who relate, have been encouraged to make a difference, and have been able to overcome adverseties they face.

The film is not only a great way to look into how Batman, a fictional character, has helped change the lives of many people, but it is also a great way to help raise funds for many diffferent charities.

This is a film you have to see, as no description could give the film the proper praise it deserves.

Head on over to wearebatman.com to pick up your copy of the film and get a first hand look into the message they are hoping to convey.

"Not your typical superhero flick... I didn't expect to get teary-eyed"

"You will not see a more emotionally-engaging Batman movie in your entire life."
-Kevin Smith

Growing up, did you ever play with your friends and take on the superhero personas of comic book characters? Come on, be honest. If you did, you are not alone, we all did at some point during our childhood. What superhero character would you dress up, why, and more importantly, did it leave a trait that helped shape your character/personality.

I dressed up as Batman when I was a kid. My friend who lived across the street from me would dress up as Robin.

Me and him were huge Batman fans. Good memories.

This film isn't new.

I backed it on IndieGogo in 2012, and it "came out" last year in 2013.

A fun tribute to the healing power of cultural myth, but not the "best" documentary.

@psychoticspaceraccoon

yes, it premiered last year, although to a limited release..

but now as of November 18th 2014, the movie is finally available on blu-ray, dvd, and digital format, which means that most everyone can go out, get a copy and experience it.

maybe the fact that you helped contribute to the funding, and I tip my hat to you sir for that, gave you an early knowledge of the film, but i don't know if a lot of people knew about it. so i though i would help spread the news that it was finally released to the general public via dvd.

Nolan's Batman would inspire people to quit. To run off and hide after putting on a Batsuit and getting that ass beat, broken, that house burned down, girlfriend killed, big lie claiming to have beat The Joker exposed, a billion dollar business stolen and humiliated after losing fight and being stripped of the Batsuit and discarded in a hole somewhere.

Nolan's Batman inspires us to: Start a fight, lose everything and run like a bastard!

Setting aside the positive stuff on display in the video, the near-universal Batman fetishism bothers me. To so many people, he can do no wrong and never fails, etc, etc, made all the worse by creators like Frank Miller and Christopher Nolan incorporating severe human flaws into his character, then praising him all the more for it.

Batman's a fine character, but the truly inspiring hero is Cap.

Do Drugs. Punch Hitler. Fight for Freedom.
