MAJOR SPOILERS: The Identity Of The Arkham Knight Is Revealed

Well it was bound to happen sooner or later with people getting early copies of Batman: Arkham Knight but the identity of the mysterious Arkham Knight has official been revealed. Is he a new character or someone we know? Click to find out but beware it's a SPOILER.

One of the major marketing points for Batman: Arkham Knight was that Rocksteady together with Geoff Johns was creating a new character for the game. The game is even called after this new character in the Arkham Knight. We know nothing other than he has an army and he seems to know who Batman is. People have managed to get early copies of the game and his identity has already been leaked. If you don't want to be spoiled, why the hell are you here? If you do his identity is none other than...

That's right. Jason Todd who goes by the Red Hood in the comics is the Arkham Knight. He wears a mask under his mask. In case you feel that Jason may not be the Arkham Knight since he still has a mask and we haven't seen his real face....

This is a screengrab from a video flowing around. I won't post the video because there is another major plot point in it but it confirms Jason Todd is the Arkham Knight. Also in case anyone is wondering why he has a J on his face. Someone confirmed saying that when Joker killed Jason, he branded a J on his face. Like what a farmer does to mark his cows. So what are your thoughts on this? Do you like Jason being the Arkham Knight? Do you prefer someone else? Comment below, let me know. Peace and remember...

In the explosive finale to the Arkham series, Batman faces the ultimate threat against the city he is sworn to protect. The Scarecrow returns to unite an impressive roster of super villains, including Penguin, Two-Face and Harley Quinn, to destroy The Dark Knight forever. Batman: Arkham Knight introduces Rocksteady's uniquely designed version of the Batmobile, which is drivable for the first time in the franchise. The addition of this legendary vehicle, combined with the acclaimed gameplay of the Batman Arkham series, offers gamers the ultimate and complete Batman experience as they tear through the streets and soar across the skyline of the entirety of Gotham City. Be The Batman.

I'm ok with but it pisses me off because as soon as the Arkham knight was revealed as a character I and everybody else thought "it's Jason". Then the Red Hood DLC was announced which made my theory go....

" />

Then I came up with a new theory with it being Damian and now we know Jason is the Arkham Knight which makes my Damian theory go...

" />

But still I love it. Jason is better as a villain than a hero. Gives more weight to the character. Him being Batman's greatest failure and being a villain is more emotional than Jason still being a member of the Batfamily like what the comics have because it doesn't give off nearly as much weight.

It's a bummer that's not an original character, and it's also a bummer that most of us predicted that Jason would be the Arkham Knight, but I (at least me) don't know why, so that won't ruin my experience of the game.

[frick] me. There's only 3 days left, and I [frick]ing looked. I have no self control.

It's ok @TheDarkPassenger I too had no self control.

I only posted this because someone was posting videos of the reveal on the Arkham Knight articles so I just decided to post an article in hopes of alerting people it's out and be warned.

I still knew this such yesterday but this was all I wanted to know. I want everything else to be a complete surprise.

@XF14

When did Rocksteady lie before? Yea I could see the Arkham Knight being a lie but they never lied about anything involving Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, or anything with Arkham Knight beside the Arkham Knight.

Even so the Arkham Knight is a new identity. Not a new character grant it but a new identity.

@LEVITIKUZ

I was afraid of who was going to be the Arkham Knight, but this reassures me.

I would've been completely taken out of the game if I waited till the big reveal in the story and it turned out to be something I didn't like.

Better to know now and be even more excited than wait and be disappointed I guess.

Some of ya'll look it at this way too heavy. I mean, it's a bit of a bummer it's Jason but at the same time "Arkham Knight" is still a new character/concept. No lying done here.

Still can't wait for this bad boy to drop!!

@LEVITIKUZ

Sorry to enter your conversation, but Rocksteady lied when they said Hugo Strange would be the main villain of Arkham City, which was not the case (he was a puppet for Ra's, and Joker hijacked the story for himself in the first hour).

maybe a clone of jason?
or maybe they [frick]ed with us

@TheDarkPassenger

Yea I really dig Jason as the Arkham Knight but I'm still so confused as to why there is a Red Hood pack if Jason is the Arkham Knight but gotta wait for the story.

I haven't read anything else. I don't want to be spoiled. I do have some guess. Like there was an E3 demo that showed off a crime scene and I'm pretty sure I know who was behind it but I still don't want to know anything more than what Rocksteady has shown us besides the Arkham Knight's identity.

I'm ok with it being Jason and them saying it's not Jason. If everybody knew it would be Jason, it wouldn't be a surprise. It's hard to keep it a big surprise when comic fans know who the character would be. Like Winter Soldier. GA didn't know it was Bucky but comic fans knew.

LEVITIKUZ - 6/20/2015, 8:19 AM
@diogosanto

I see it more as it was Strange's plan but Ra's paid for it.

There relationship was like the Emperor and Vader except they aren't master and student. More so as Ra's is the head of the whole thing but everything that is happening is Strange's plan and idea.

So Strange still is the main villain, he just didn't pay for everything. He had help paying but the plan was all his.

For some reason I'm not buying it. Why would they release Red Hood DLC when Red Hood is the Arkham Knight? His helmet even looks totally different. If this is true then it's not really a big shock twist ending. I guess this is what IGN meant in their review that the reveal kind of just fizzles out. Oh well so much for something more mind blowing...
Azrael725
Azrael725 - 6/20/2015, 10:18 AM
Does this mean that Red Hood in the DLC pack actually isn't Jason Todd?
RexDartEskimoSpy
RexDartEskimoSpy - 6/20/2015, 10:33 AM
If it were an original character you'd all be bitching about them using a made-up new character instead of an established one from the comics.
TheGambitFreak
TheGambitFreak - 6/20/2015, 10:43 AM
This is... Lazy. It should've been Hush. That's what Arkham City was hinting at. I hope they didn't just leave that plothole to die in the wind.

To those of you saying this is take due to the Red Hood dlc, did it ever occur to you that it could be a prequel campaign?
LEVITIKUZ
LEVITIKUZ - 6/20/2015, 10:56 AM
@TheGambitFreak

See I thought of Hush but there's one major problem.

After surgically making his face to look just like Bruce Wayne's why would he make a full armor suit covering himself?

I mean he wouldn't have needed to wear a mask since he looks just like Bruce.

PAF - 6/20/2015, 11:08 AM
They dead wrong for that. It's not like they needed the damn sales bump. And Lol at dudes really caping for Rocksteady for lying.

@LEVITIKUZ Well that's just it. By being this "Bat" symbol, I figure he'd then publicly reveal himself as Bruce Wayne, tricking the people of Gotham into thinking this billionaire was the Bat all along. But the story for this game obviously took a different road. Shame.
