After making an appearence at New York's annual Toy Fair, the Oscar-winning British actor spoke to E! News exclusively about reprising his part as Alfred the Butler in the hotly anticipated Batman sequel The Dark Knight Rises, sharing his thoughts on a few of the new cast members as well.

"I talked to Chris last week 'cause I said I hadn't gotten a script and he said, 'I haven't finished it.' And he said, 'I'll finish it in two weeks.'"

"Marion Cotillard is in it? Nobody tells me these things! Oh shoot. I didn't know. Well, Anne Hathaway is Catwoman isn't she? Well that's fabulous. Tom Hardy is gonna be great too [as Batman nemesis Bane]. He's a tough British actor."

The Dark Knight Rises is set to be released on July 20, 2012!

LMAO, jazzman - I hear they're looking for someone to play Wonder Woman in that TV series, right? I'm sure one of those "manly" American actors could do something like that...after all, it's best if we save the REALLY manly parts (Batman, Superman, Spider-Man etc) for us Brits. ;D

On a serious note though, you've only got to look at guys like Matt Damon to see that all this talk of there being no manly American actors these days is just nonsense! Us Brits are just better, that's all.

The Brits are better actors for the most part. We do have some great ones here in American but not nearly as many as they have across the pond. I think we can all agree that there hasn't been a manly thing out of France since the Musketeers. DOWN WITH FRANCE!!

@ Ninjatrtle, because people comment on it and add fuel to the fire. He(or she) only wants attention. It can be very amusing but to get angry at Grif might be going to far. I'd rather read Grif's posts all day than reading about people wanting to kill themselves because Thor is doesn't have his helmet, or because Spidey has stripe down his leg.
