The search for a new Batman continue, and while rumours about the DCEU's next Caped Crusader continue to swirl, we're no closer to finding out who will take on the title role in
The Batman.
It has been confirmed that writer/director Matt Reeves wants a younger Dark Knight and one name that keeps popping up is
Star Wars Episode IX actor Oscar Isaac. He'll be freed up once that movie is released this December, and his casting would obviously add some diversity to the role as well.
Unfortunately, while Isaac is appreciative of the support from fans, he's yet to hear from Warner Bros.
"That was cool to see," he reveals in the interview below.
"Haven't gotten the call. As much as the fans have tried. No dice!" [Laughs]"
Now that Ben Affleck has moved on from the role, it's going to be a lot of fun to see where the character is taken next, especially as we know Reeves is planning on delving into what makes Bruce Wayne the World's Greatest Detective. This version of the Dark Knight is also set to square off with a number of villains from his rogue's gallery, including The Penguin.
