THE BATMAN Spoilers: Does The Movie Have A Post-Credits Scene?

THE BATMAN Spoilers: Does The Movie Have A Post-Credits Scene?

The Batman sets the stage for a whole new Batverse separate to the DC Extended Universe, but is there a post-credits scene? We have an answer here along with details on what it may - or may not - include!

Post-credit scenes have become the norm in many blockbusters thanks to Marvel Studios, though they've only been used sporadically in the DCEU. With The Batman set in its own Batverse, has director Matt Reeves included an extra scene at the end of the credits that's worth waiting for?

Sadly, no. With that being said, there is something that you might want to stick around for after the credits begin rolling...

Throughout The Batman, The Riddler taunts the World's Greatest Detective with various riddles (obviously), with "RATAALADA" among them. The villain also uses an antiquated computer to communicate with Gotham's Dark Knight, and right at the end of the credits, "Goodbye" is typed out on screen before a URL flashes on screen: https://www.rataalada.com/

Following this takes you to a website that asks the visitor to solve a series of riddles. The answers you need to input are "Mask," "Confusion," and "Renewal," and you can then choose to download a Zip File that's accessed with the password, "promise." Inside is a campaign ad for Thomas Wayne's bid to become Gotham City's Mayor that may or may not tease the sequel's villain.

We'll have more to share with you soon, but this is a clever addition, and a fun extra for those willing to wait a few extra minutes to see all the amazing people who made the film a reality.

@McMurdo - glad you liked it, I was bored most of the time. It’s a story I’ve heard over and over. Gotham is corrupt, a powder keg about to explode. If you’ve read or watched The Long Halloween there are no surprises here. It’s not all bad; it’s just nothing new. At my viewing the man to my right checked his watch 3 times; the woman on my left checked her phone clock 4 times.

I feel that I can get the experience this was aiming for by watching Seven or Batman Begins; under two hours of my time.

@McMurdo - it was a really great movie. I actually liked the slow burn length in that they really wring the most out of you, as the viewer

The answer would be no. There is something at the end of the credits. You can quote me in your article Ruby.

I truly am happy for all of you that are hyped for this and are probably going to get the experience you want from this movie, but I'm still not feeling it.

That said, I usually avoid spoiler articles like the plague. Since I don't care if this is spoiled, I figured throw caution to the wind and see what's what since it'll probably be a rainy day, with nothing to do this summer, when I catch it on HBOmax. By then, it'll be spoiled proper anyway.

So, I crack this joint open, and Ruby drops the ball. Damn.

@inkniron - I am going to make something very clear, I just finished watching 10 mins ago, as a movie fan and as a comic book fan….. You owe yourself to experience this in the cinema TRUST ME it’s worth it.
You will not regret a single minute.

@bigdaddy313 - I'll make something very clear too. I'm a DC guy first and foremost when it comes to the CBs but I've NEVER been a huge fan of Bats.

My Batman fatigue is real to begin with and when they take away the possibility of the more fantastical elements and rogues gallery from jump street, you lose me even more.

Kudos if that's your thing and I'm glad you enjoyed it, but personally, I'll catch it when I don't have something better to do.

@inkniron - it was actually really good. Pattinson is unbelievable as Batman. It is a bit overlong but Reeves utilizes that well

@bigdaddy313 - agree. I am not a DC fan and will attest to the epic nature of this thing
