Chuck Dixon Comments On The Casting Of Bane In The Dark Knight Rises

Chuck Dixon, the co-creator of the Batman villain Bane, comments on the casting of Tom Hardy as Bane in Christopher Nolan's 'The Dark Knight Rises.

I found it kind of odd that no one has asked Bane Co-Creator Chuck Dixon his thoughts on the casting, the writer certainly does deserve much credit for making Bane such a popular bat-villain. Having a friendship with him on Facebook I asked his opinion on the casting of famous Batman creation Bane.

"How do you feel about Tom Hardy being cast as Bane in the 3rd Christopher Nolan Batman Film?"
"I feel pretty good about it. Since an actor will be portraying him rather than a wrestler. He'll get more screen time and possibly be closer to the guy Graham and I created."

This certainly gives me a warm feeling knowing that Mr. Dixon allowed me to write this article, and with his opinion on the casting I certainly hope this allows many Bane and Batman fans to turn the other cheek and respect Christopher Nolan's casting choice.

Thank you all for reading, many thanks granted to Mr. Chuck Dixon for permission to use his quote for the story.

Comment down below leaving your opinions on The Dark Knight Rises and whether or not you feel it will be better then the Dark Knight, as I'm sure I'm not the only Batman fan who certainly hopes so.

I certainly hope it is better, but the casting does scare me.

Dont get me wrong, I've yet to see anything but an outstanding scene stealing performance from Hardy, but I feel like it was a lazy and hasty decision by Nolan.

Hathaway as Selina may end up being the straw that broke the camel's back and ruin this movie for me. I sincerely hope it does not, but I just cant stand her.

Nice @TGDSuperguy! If the (co)creator of Bane can accept Hardy as the man who broke the bat, and Nolan casted him in the role, why must everyone else scrutinize the casting choice, instead of waiting to see how it turns out before judging?

Big deal, he's not tall enough. He's he's a big stocky guy WHO CAN ACT!!! Bane is not Batman's Doomsday, he's an extremely intelligent super-villian and as far as i'm concerned, Nolan could have easily made him the ONLY villian in the film.

Knightfall is probably my favorite Batman arc, those not familiar with it need to READ UP!!!

Heath Ledger's Joker was an amazing surprise. I'm skeptical once again this time, but I'm giving Nolan the benefit of the doubt until I see the film.

Loved Hardy in Rocknrolla, and hope he can wash away some of the stain from the complete bastardization of the character perpetrated in Batman and Robin....

Well the character of Bane in comics is only half Latino. His father is a blonde haired blue eyed Caucasian Englishman

Man, it is exactly what will happen!! Just like the choice of "pretty boy" Heath Ledger was in TDK! Cannot wait!!
