The Dark Knight Rises opened up and became a box office Juggernaut over the summer. Christopher Nolan's conclusion to his Batman trilogy has been met with praise, and its fair share of critics as well. Josh Pence was cast as a young Ra's al Ghul early in the filming process, and not many people knew what kind of a role Ra's would play. Given that he, played by Liam Neeson at the time, seem to have been killed off in Batman Begins, people were curious as to what to expect. Chatting with
MTV, Pence recounted what it was like being involved with the film, more specifically the tight lipped production that Christopher Nolan runs. He also said that some of his scenes were cut, but not enough to warrant any deleted scenes. Check the video out below.
On Getting Cast In The Movie:
"Even when it was announced that I was cast I couldn't say anything. When I met Christopher Nolan he was very kind but he was like [makes the keep your lips zipped gesture]. It was just so exciting to be a part of it."
On If There If Deleted Scenes Of What He Shot:
"I think that there are shortened versions of those scenes. But generally everything that I shot was in there, it was probably just shrunk down because it was such a long movie. It was amazing, I was in India for a week I was in London for 10 days, I mean India, in the middle of nowhere shooting this role that's like a blip on the radar because that's how big that movie was. It was really really fun."
The Dark Knight Rises stars Christian Bale, Garly Oldman, Michael Caine, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Morgan Freeman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard and you can pick it up on blu-ray and DVD
