According to the August issue of Vogue magazine, Christopher Nolan decided to delay filming on "A Dark Knight Rises" to accomodate Marion Cotillard's pregnancy with her first child. Most of her scenes were pushed back a month. Nolan also made room on set for Cotillard's family after she gave birth to her son, Marcel.
Nolan tells Vogue magazine he wanted to "figure it out" as to not replace Cotillard. Nolan also stated that he marveled at the Academy Award winner's ability to get the job done so soon after giving birth, calling it "amazing to see" and also describing Cotillard as "Superwoman."
The August issue of Vogue magazine hits stores July 24.
