Dick Grayson/NightWing is NOT dead is in the DCEU

Unlike what was previously rumoured Dick Grayson/NightWing is NOT dead in the DCEU.
Hit the jump to find out how and why this rumour has been debunked...

For close to a year now many believed that Dick Grayson(former Robin and now (assumedly) NightWing had been dead.
This was all thanks to these spy photos.

But after the new trailer that rumour has been utterly debunked, as Reddit user "daffypunk" points out that would be impossible, seeing as...

To anyone confused, Dick Grayson couldn't possibly have passed away before Bruce's parent's did because he would either have not been born yet or he would've been a newborn and not even have been able to talk much less fight crime.
So hopefully this shuts down any talks about our favourite acrobat being dead.

What are your thoughts?
Post them down below.

Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.

Starring Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, with Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane returning from Man of Steel, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, and Holly Hunter in a role newly created for the film. Jason Momoa will also be making an appearance as Aquaman. Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice opens in theaters on March 25th, 2016.

Wait, I don't get it. How does that debunk the dead Grayson rumours? Because the grave is in the trailer?

I'm sure whoever made that headstone just put whatever on it.

Do we know for a fact this is a funeral for Thomas and Martha Wayne? I know there's a young boy there but it might be a bait and switch.

For anyone who doesn't get it: Dick can't possibly have died before Bruce's parents.

That should be in the article.

I'd like to point out, on the original article in which rumored Dick Grayson was dead, which I wrote, I uploaded the image to Imgur.

WB deleted it since it's no longer on the article and I didn't delete it.

Look at the first pic again, the year of death is showing "August,2000". Maybe that funeral scene is not for Bruce's parents??

What has me convinced is Robin's outfit in the Batcave!

I am pretty sure that message being put on his suit is tie in the Joker (obviously) into BvS, Suicide Squad, and set up the solo Batman movie!

And Bam the solo movie will have Red Hood!

Dang if this comes out true than DC is not holding back at all!

I just see no reason to kill of Dick instead of Jason, so hopefully this is true, and plus to have nightwing finally in a movie with several other robins would absolutely be insane. Plus, this really opens the door for Teen Titans someday, DC would reaaally win me over with that!

Did you notice that the Robin suit in the trailer was severely battle damaged? It has discoloration almost like it was somewhat charred with bullet holes in the shoulders and stomach. It's also the size of a young man in his late teens, not some adult partner. Look at it compared to Affleck's size and height! It was a late teens Robin like the comics. Also, notice the hand print key lock on the Batsuit container!

By the way that Robin suit is spot one and badass! The R is awesome and the buckles running down the chest is just like the original costume!!!!!!

Damn I am so excited for this movie!

The headstones birthdate is either 92 or 52. Neither makes sense. Probably gonna be CGI'd or it's a joke.

I'm confused. Isn't it obvious that Dick Grayson's grave wouldn't be there when Batman's a child?
JoeMomma29
JoeMomma29 - 7/12/2015, 9:07 AM
@Kr08

The suit is not discolored, it is dark but you can tell it is red! There is a bullet hole on the right side.

@JoeMomma29

The suit is awesome

I think Joker is going to Kill Todd in Suicide Squad
DrKinsolving
DrKinsolving - 7/12/2015, 9:12 AM
@JoeMomma29

Or if not kill him, Joker will beat Todd to the point that he's in a coma/is a vegetable, and needs something like the lazarus pit
Kr08
Kr08 - 7/12/2015, 9:12 AM
@JoeMomma29 " It has discoloration almost like it was somewhat charred" I never said it wasn't red. It looks worn out and old, it looks like it's been through an explosion, and the bullet holes suggest that Joker tortured him with some gunshots as well as the crowbar

Kr08
Kr08 - 7/12/2015, 9:15 AM
The suit is so spot on to the Arkham City Robin! The big differences are the "R", he has a belt exactly like Batman's, his wrist blades are just like Batman's, and the straps in the center torso.

JoeMomma29
JoeMomma29 - 7/12/2015, 9:19 AM
@Kr08

Dude why are your getting defensive?

I agree the suit has bullet holes and damage, I am just saying the suit is in dark red and with the lighting it looks off but to me IMO it is not discolored.
KilledHal9000
KilledHal9000 - 7/12/2015, 9:21 AM
I do not think the suit is discolored but I could be wrong as well. I think it's just dark to fit the movies. Also what if the Robin that died is Carrie Kelly??? My original thought is obviously Jason Todd, but why confuse the general audience? He had a sidekick, Joker killed him (Dick Grayson) Batman almost kills Joker, Batman "retires"
Kr08
Kr08 - 7/12/2015, 9:23 AM
@JoeMomma29 Sorry, the way I read your comment sounded a bit douchey. This site does that to you lol. The suit is definitely red but you can see the charring and darkness from that come from explosions and fire. What I'm most curious about is that bo staff on display with it. It looks like a torture device!

Just remember how many times there was ever a grave in a Batman film, they always inscribe a different name than what was in the actual film or digitally add another tombstone.

Batman Fact!
Kr08
Kr08 - 7/12/2015, 9:25 AM
@jerryblake If you weren't such a troll you would understand that the Red Hood story has only been done once in Batman Under the Red Hood animated film. Arkham Knight didn't follow the canon that is the Red Hood storyline, they didn't even kill Jason, and they certainly changed everything.
