Recently there's been quite a bit of negativity surrounding Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice, amid reports that Warner Bros. may be worrying about how well their Man Of Steel follow-up will be received by general audiences - but if early tracking is anything to go by, Snyder's movie will do just fine.

This morning, Batman V Superman debuted on tracking to huge numbers, suggesting an opening of $140 million (or more) over the March 25-27 weekend in North America - which could put it on track to take in up to $300M-$340M worldwide. If the film actually does those numbers, it would rank fifth in superhero movie opening weekend earnings behind Avengers ($392.5M), Avengers: Age of Ultron ($392.5M), Spider-Man 3 ($381.7M) and Iron Man 3 ($372.5M).

Obviously that remains to be seen, but after a lot of doom-saying over the last week or so this has to be seen as a very positive sign at least. Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice hits theaters on March 25 - will you be there opening weekend?
