Hans Zimmer Confirms That He Will Score Zack Snyder's BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN
As many of us expected, Man of Steel and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 composer Hans Zimmer will indeed return to score Batman Vs. Superman for Warner Bros. and Zack Snyder, and he talks here about that and his concerns over creating a new theme for the Caped Crusader.
In an interview with Digital Spy, Hans Zimmer has confirmed that Warner Bros. and Zack Snyder have asked him to return for the follow-up to Man of Steel which will see Superman come face to face with Batman as soon as he finishes working on Christopher Nolan's Interstellar. "We've already had a couple of chats, and once I finish the movie that I shall not talk about I will probably head over to where Zack is shooting his movie and just hang out a bit and see if we can come up with any ideas," Zimmer revealed. However, the composer also commented on his concern over simply repeating the Caped Crusader's theme from The Dark Knight Trilogy, and the pressure of coming up with something new for this alternative take on the iconic DC superhero. "That's my problem, that's my dilemma. I don't want to betray, if that's the right word, the Dark Knight movies. That was Christian, it was Christian's role. It's not just that it was nine years of our lives, so you want to stay honest and honourable to that period. So it's really about, 'Is there something else I can find that I haven't tapped into?' Which I don't know until I sit down with Zack." How do you guys feel about this news?
