Hans Zimmer Confirms That He Will Score Zack Snyder's BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN

As many of us expected, Man of Steel and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 composer Hans Zimmer will indeed return to score Batman Vs. Superman for Warner Bros. and Zack Snyder, and he talks here about that and his concerns over creating a new theme for the Caped Crusader.

In an interview with Digital Spy, Hans Zimmer has confirmed that Warner Bros. and Zack Snyder have asked him to return for the follow-up to Man of Steel which will see Superman come face to face with Batman as soon as he finishes working on Christopher Nolan's Interstellar"We've already had a couple of chats, and once I finish the movie that I shall not talk about I will probably head over to where Zack is shooting his movie and just hang out a bit and see if we can come up with any ideas," Zimmer revealed. However, the composer also commented on his concern over simply repeating the Caped Crusader's theme from The Dark Knight Trilogy, and the pressure of coming up with something new for this alternative take on the iconic DC superhero. "That's my problem, that's my dilemma. I don't want to betray, if that's the right word, the Dark Knight movies. That was Christian, it was Christian's role. It's not just that it was nine years of our lives, so you want to stay honest and honourable to that period. So it's really about, 'Is there something else I can find that I haven't tapped into?' Which I don't know until I sit down with Zack." How do you guys feel about this news?

I love his work, but somebody else should compose a new Batman theme (or whatever). I just don't know how he'd be able to shake what he already did.

The Dark Knight themes are legend and the Man of Steel music is phenomenal. Whatever you come up with, bro, I'm sure it will be well thought out and will result in nothing short of mind-blowing.

He's one of the best. Once he see's the direction Snyder and Afleck are going with this Batman, he'll come up with something original and appropriate. Excited to get more news as production begins!

For someone who cares about the score almost as much as the film itself, I couldn't be happier.
I sense some epicness from Hans Zimmer, once again.

I would love for Zimmer to rework the 66' Batman theme for this ,and the Super Friends theme for the JLA.

Most of the time, it's because content's already been posted on another article, or whatever's been posted is not new. Sometimes, it's because Power Users want to post the articles themselves and delete the ones written by lesser users (though that's extremely rare). And other times it's done for no explained reason.

I'm still hoping that the whole VERSUS angle isn't the primary focus of the film. I really don't want to see a film based on them fighting each other. Its absurd to begin with. They should clash a bit, Bats outsmarts Superman and shows that he isnt an ordinary human, then they put aside their differences/methods and come together to stop a common foe.

I think them being at odds is something that should be at the end of their careers. They've been allies - or even friends - for years and I find this tragedy in them trading blows. But that's just me.

@ staypuffed aha.. thanks, well that content is new as far as I know.

@ NeoBagins I concur. The only villain we know is Lex and apparently he's in the background of the film.

He should try giving it the vibe of the Burton films in tone. I hate to say it but even Batman Forever had a great sounding score to it. Maybe he could use that as inspiration.
