Hans Zimmer appeared this morning on the BBC current affairs & arts programme Hard Talk & while chatting to the presenter about his views on whether or not the current state of the the Hollywood machine with the superhero genre is running out of steam, he officially announced he is retiring from the scoring superhero movies. Talking quite candidly, he revealed he found Batman v Superman very difficult to score, citing he was relieved that he his collaborator JUNKIE XL on board.

So what does this mean the the future of the Justice League movies? Who will both WB & Zak Snyder bring on board to replace? Indeed. Does this cast doubt on whether any other cogs in the machine could change moving forward for the DCEU? Sound off with your thoughts below.

So, he does't appreciate a challenge. Quitter. Hire Bear McCreary or John Williams.

Junkie XL will most likely stick around as his replacement.

Would love to hear a Trent Reznor take on a comic book movie score.

@Jaspion - It was probably so difficult for him to do since the movie didn't know what it wanted to be.
