Latino Review has been on a role as of late and their chief scooper revealed on twitter that actor and previous Zack Snyder collaborator (Rorschach in Watchmen) Jackie Earle Haley recently went in to audition for a role in Batman vs Superman but WB passed. The logical assumption given Haley's bald look is that he went in for Lex Luthor but there technically, is no confirmation of that.
Actor Christopher Meloni who played Colonel Nathan Hardy [and whose call sign in Man of Steel was Guardian] spoke to Rolling Stone about the film and the chances of his character returning in Batman vs Superman. Particularly that his character is still alive in the Phantom Zome. Meloni admitted, "There is – if people keep that Twitter feed alive. [Laughs] They've got to keep blogging and it'll take form." He also added that he'd "happily" return if given the opportunity.
Jaimie Alexander made waves on November 1st when news surfaced that the actress had been meeting with WB about playing Wonder Woman in Batman vs Superman. However,
Variety reported on November 6th, that her Marvel contract and future Thor films put her out of the running. Indeed, on this interview on November 5th, at the Thor: The Dark World premiere, Alexander is much more subdued in her response to Wonder Woman questions from
MTV. Methinks Alexander had her Wonder Woman hopes dashed sometime between the 1st and the 5th.
We've seen a snippet of this Man of Steel blu-ray special feature previously but MTV has an extended cut.
