New BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DOJ Set Pics Hint At A Visit To The Waynes' Tomb

Batman News have posted some snaps from Orion Oaks County park in Michigan, where filming was taking place over the weekend on a graveyard set. It seems Bruce Wayne will be paying a visit to his beloved parents' final resting place in Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice.

The ever-vigilant Bananadoc has sent Batman News over the following snaps from the Michigan set of Zack Snyder's Man Of Steel follow up, where a cemetery set was being erected. You can clearly see a tomb with the name "Wayne" on it, which suggests that Bruce (Ben Affleck) will be stopping by to pay his respects to his dearly departed parents at some point during the film. This is something of an iconic a moment that we've seen depicted numerous times in various different Batman media over the years. There is also a theory that this could be a flashback to the funeral of Thomas and Martha Wayne however, as Bananadoc reports seeing some "very old looking cars and a hearse" on the set.

Lol Snyder, do we really have to revisit the Wayne parents? Jeez, we know they're dead and Batman's motivation for becoming a hero/vigilante.

This is why I do not have faith in the DCverse. Let's pander some more!

*this is another reason why i don't have in the DCverse. Snyder lacks any sort of nuance.

Man of Steel: Clark talking to the priest with the Jesus statue in the background. Clark stating he's been living on this planet for 33 years. Kevin Costner with the worse death in the 21st century.

Can't wait to see what happens in BvS!

@Reasonnnn

Youre acting like its a full fledged out origin story but its obviously not. This shows the audience the source of how and why Batman feels anger, for example or whatever in the movie. Its something called character development. Just bc theres no origin story doesnt mean we make Bruce a 2D character.

So yes screw Snyder for a little character development. This movie will fail smh

@LeroyJenkins Snyder lacks subtlety and nuance (have you seen his films)

@FordEl We've had how many Batman films now? Batman is up there with Star WArs when it comes to the pop culture zeitgeist. We know everything about his origin, what fuels him, etc

@Reasonnnn Chill dude. it's probably just for one scene, and we've never had an iconic "Bruce visiting his parents grave" in live action before. Snyder himself even said that he wouldn't be re-telling the origin story because we've heard it so many times. No need to worry.

@Spprelle When it comes to Snyder, I worry. The amount of people in this site who have BLIND faith in him and the DCverse is just appalling to me.

@Reasonnnn The times Snyder's films have fallen quality-wise were due to shoddy scripts, and almost never his execution of the presented material. There isn't much to worry about when we have Affleck and Terrio looking over the entire project.

@Sipprelle Agreed, which is why DAWN OF THE DEAD remains his best film. I still think Snyder is tone-deaf, films lack levity when they clearly need it, lacks nuance and is one of the most unsubtle directors in the industry. I'm not the biggest fan of ARGO (thought Zero Dark Thirty should've won, but again, Hollywood politics), but Terrio is good enough. I'm not sure how much input Affleck has; people just assume he's overlooking Snyder, but I don't see how. Snyder is the director and the only people looking over him are the execs.
