New BATMAN V SUPERMAN Plot Details Reveal Why The Action Heads To Washington D.C.

Some set photos have emerged which reveal that at least some of Zack Snyder's Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice takes place outside of Metropolis and Gotham in Washington D.C. Why? Well, you can find out what brings the Man of Steel to the nation's capital after the jump...

Batman-News have got their hands on some photos from the set of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice which reveal that parts of the movie will take place in Washington D.C. (you can see those by clicking the link below) To put the photos into context somewhat, the site also have some details about what they describe as a "major action scene" which was shot in studio last month in Detroit. Apparently, this part of the movie will see Superman visiting the United States Capitol building in Washington D.C. to answer for his role in the destruction of Metropolis in 2013's Man of Steel. Apparently half the public blames him for all of that death as they believe that General Zod would have never invaded Earth if it wasn't for Superman being there. What most interesting about this is how a hearing will turn into a "major action scene". Whoever ends up being the movie's main villain will clearly choose now to attack, regardless of whether it's Doomsday, Metallo or even Batman. That's all speculation for now of course, so we'll have to wait and see...

I was just in DC yesterday. If I had to deal with that traffic on a daily basis I'd want to destroy a city too.

Exactly the kind of stuff I wanted from this movie, I hope they can pull it off well. As for a big action scene there it could be Lex trying to make Supes look even worse by having him mess up Washington.

19 months is too long. Yet, 8 months is too long for the Age of Ultron.

It's a great theory, but it's gonna be hard to confirm, 'cuz you know how it is in DC...

The scene plays out like this when he's talking to Congress.

Pretty certain it is Doomsday... Superman will be beaten to a pulp by Doomsday resulting in Wonder Woman coming to save him, however she will probably kill Doomsday - yet Superman dies.

Batman will finally acknowledge Superman as a hero after their fights throughout the film and he will found the Justice League in his memory.

The film is being described as a 'part one' as such the cliff-hanger will probably be that Superman is dead with the creation of the Justice League in his honour, founded by Batman.

The 'part two' film 'Justice League' would then feature his return however it'd allow for the introduction of Darkseid - who would be heading to Earth believing Kal-El, the strongest protector of Earth, is dead.

I went to DC the day after the 4th, surprisingly it wasn't even that bad. We got some good views of the white house, hung out, met some new people. The only downfall is that it was hot as [frick] and we got lost forgetting what street we parked on.

Continuing my prior point;

That would then lead directly into 'Man Of Steel 2' where Superman is finally accepted by everyone except for Luthor and is dealing with his mortality after his death in 'Batman Vs Superman'

I think the cliffhanger rumor came from Nail, and if I'm not mistaken he said (a few months back) his source became unreliable.

So that fake script is looking to be very real, with talks of Luthor creating another super villain (Doomsday) and then Superman going to D.C to address the people and higher ups, I mean unless they've done some revisions I'm down but the script was terrible.

I'm pretty content with Lex and Metallo as the villains. No need to force a Death of Superman by adding Doomsday, save him for a standalone MoS.

@MercWithAGun

Its certainly a fake. The fake writer revealed himself and pretty much all of the set photos don't add up to what happened in the script.
