New Look At Gal Gadot As 'Wonder Woman' In BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE
A French film magazine has provided an alternate version of Total Film's Batman V Superman cover from a while ago. The Man of Steel (Henry Cavill) and the Dark Knight (Ben Affleck) look the same, but Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) is striking a new pose. Take a look after the jump...
As you can see, this Studio Cine Live cover is very similar to the Total Film one from this past October, but it does give us a pretty cool new look at Gal Gadot as a more battle-ready Wonder Woman. The mag also features new interviews with both Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck, who discuss the takes on DC's iconic heroes they play in Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice.
Much of it is variations on quotes we've seen before, but Affleck does offer some interesting new details on the older incarnation of Bruce Wayne/Batman we'll meet in the movie, and what his motivations in targeting Superman are.
"Usually, the films show Batman starting off, or in the prime of his career. Here, you’re dealing with an older version, a guy at the end of his journey. He’ll find meaning in his own life during his conflict with Superman. He really thinks Superman is an existential menace, and he believes destroying him will be his legacy. We also play a bit more with the billionaire playboy side of the character. He lives that life at full tilt. He courts many women, owns many cars, and parties a lot. He does that as a way to fill the void in his soul. Moreover, past incarnations dealt with a straightforward search for justice. This time, Batman’s reasoning is clouded by frustration, bitterness and anger."
