To answer your question, no. No I have not seem the movie. It has not finished filming so unless I've come from the not too distant future (which I am not) then I haven't seen it.

Moving On...

There are so many Comic book movies being released in the next few years such as The Amazing Spider-Man (2014) Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) and of course The Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)

Now you're probably asking yourself "Hey, sh*t head, why do you have not faith in Batman vs. Superman" Simple, why should I?

I'll start from the beginning, in a film called Man of Steel...

The Man of ...Meh

I didn't hate Man Of Steel but being the next big DC Comics film after The Dark Knight franchise ended it had A LOT to live up to and that's what went wrong. It wasn't a terrible film but compared to Iron Man which started the MCU, MOS was lacking in getting us excited for the future. It built the base but didn't leave us wondering what was to come the way a lot of us were hoping. Sure, some little Wayne and Luthor easter eggs here and there but we needed more.

Batman vs. Superman or Justice League Origin?

Recently Wonder Woman was confirmed for the film with the lovely Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and other reports that The Flash will be making an appearance. It's starting to sound more like the company is trying to bring us a Justice League film instead of a Batman vs. Superman film and doing their best to cut corners. Personally, I'd rather see a Batman vs. Superman film then a Justice League film so what we'll probably see is Batman vs. Superman for about 3 1/2 minutes then them teaming up for the rest of the film paving the way for a Justice League movie not caring what gets run over in the process.

I've Been Hurt Too Many Times Before

I can not tell you how excited I was for a Green Lantern film and what I saw... It's too soon but I forgave damn it. Then Man of Steel... I know I said it wasn't a bad film but it was far from what we wanted and especially what we deserved. Side thought, how come this year all the trailers have been better than the movie? Anyway, Man of Steel was okay but could have been so much more.

So In The End...

I'll be seeing the movie, not because I want too, but because I... want too. I love Superheroes, who doesn't? It'll probably be an alright movie to say the least however with movies like Age of Ultron and Days of Futures Past coming out, Batman vs. Superman or Superman vs. Batman or Superman snaps Batflecks neck isn't making excited.

Agree with me or do you think I'm a 14 year old who spends his "alone time" with Sailor Moon, let me know in the comments.

This is TheWriter signing off, Goodnight and Best Wishes.

Can I ask you genuinely how did a movie hurt you deeply emotionally? It is a work of fiction... if it was not adapted well you wait for the next one to be better as people generally learn from their mistakes. I understand when a character dies in a movie or book or other Favorited medium and it impacts someone emotionally for that moment and maybe a little bit after but it does not scar them for life unless they thought what they were reading was real life and happening as they were reading it in which case they have an underlying mental issue.

You have a point on the upcoming Batman vs. Superman movie. I feel the same way because it's not a sequel to Man of Steel anymore if you have Wonder Woman in it and The Flash which to me deserves his own movie, it felt like Warner/DC is rushing to make a Justice League film which is not entirely cool.

I'm not excited for CW:TWS, Falcon, to many villains, to many directors. Feels rushed.

I'm definantly not excited for DOFP, combining two different timelines each with an insane amount of characters? Plus adding new ones, to be what? Hoping they don't get in Wolverines' light? Feels forced and rushed.

AoU, uhh build up aplenty for Thanos, but were going to get Ultron shoehorned in? Adding two new useless characters, while not adding Hank Pym, the one important to Ultron's origin, feels forced and rushed.

GoTG, a franchise that fanboys barely know of. You have Bradley Cooper in your film, and he's talking for a RACOON!?!? I remember when Marvel did a film about a talking animal, something with a duck. Feels forced.

Sometimes, I feel like the only sane(ish) person when I read things like this and the response in the comments...

Let's cut to the chase - you sound like a whiny b*tch. Whether you're exaggerating or not, you're still trying to drill in a point.

Now I'm not the variety who would, as you said at the beginning of your article, ask if you've seen the movie before passing judgment. Some movies TRULY can be that predictable, especially remakes.

But there isn't a whole lot of information about this movie apart from speculation and a handful of confirmed cast members (most of which, are returning from Man of Steel). Some people still think Batman and Superman are going to go fight, which is utterly ridiculous. Formula has been that one superhero gets the limelight, while everyone else is just supporting cast. The Avengers turned that around (even though we had a bit more focus on Iron Man), but that was some clever writing - the likes of which doesn't come often.

Here's one way to look at it, and yes, I understand, I have mine and you have yours....

Is this a sequel to Man of Steel or a continuation of the DC universe? I'm telling you, you can have both. Most people tend to think of the DC universe as the Justice League and friends. Well this is what happens BEFORE a Justice League is formed. These characters are there, and they're now aware that they are not alone. This could be the passing of the torch if they get it right (and they may not).

When you watch Man of Steel, you can see from Lois' point of view that the world, like it or not, is going to have trouble with outsiders. It presented a very clear idea that not every super-powered individual is on their side, in fact, only one seems to have that claim, and he is partially responsible for the damage done to Metropolis.

It's been speculated and somewhat revealed through official channels that the sequel is going to dip into that more, and that Lex Luthor is going to be the one leading the anti-Superman campaign. What does Superman represent to us as an audience, to Metropolis as a terrorized city, to the world as potential victims, and to the would-be superheroes around the world? That is what this movie is going to be on about.

I have even less faith in the movie than you do! I think I will in fact sit this out. This movie should have been made in relation to the Dark Knight films. It would have given them 4 already established films; four already established super heroes (Superman, Batman, Catwoman & Nightwing); would have meant that DC's universe would have predated the Marvel universe since Batman Begins was released in 2005, and Iron Man released 2008; and would have had almost the same dynamic that they currently are claiming - a recently retired Batman. The roll out of Batman versus Superman has been a comedy of errors and bad ideas from the crappy logo to casting questionable actors such as one that has failed at this type of thing before in Ben Affleck, casting an unproven actress in what should be an iconic role - Gal Gadot; in addition to perhaps shoving into the film numerous other characters that have not been properly introduced. I actually believe that the Man of Steel was a good start. Unlike Batman, you have to deal with not only how Clark Kent becomes Superman but the "realistic" response from the public that aliens walk among them. Man of Steel accomplished all of that which I think is necessary to move the story forward. But I can see where this is headed. In their completely obvious attempt to catch up to Marvel, they are creating a jumbled crap fest instead of following a proven path that the Dark Knight films laid out for them.

I seriously doubt that they're trying to "catch up" with Marvel. WB doesn't care about superhero movies. This is simply what the producers, writers, and director want.

In June of this year...cavill had this to say about the Justice League

"It’s a very tough one to do because the DC comic heroes are all god-like in their power. So in this real world universe, real-world setting we’re telling our story in, it’s going to be tough to achieve that. It has to be done very delicately with a lot of thought. So, it won’t be right away. I hope it’s not, anyway. It may take some time of building up other movies and other characters and introducing them together in one way or another."

Thus far everything points to the opposite of what Cavill was expecting. If Warner brothers were NOT trying to catch up to Marvel, then why not just do a separate Wonder Woman film and link it off-screen to a Man of Steel universe...which is what fans wanted in the first place.

I just hope that off the bat, they show that Batman was aware of Clark's existence even before Lois and that there are many superpowered beings that Batman has been keeping tabs on just in case they become a menace. That way you establish that Batman is the world's greatest detective right away.

Why do people think that Marvel is some big innovator and Warner Bros needs to catch up??? WB IS the innovator, it was they who started the CBM world with 1978's Superman and it's sequels and later 1989's Batman and it's sequels. WB has been making CBMs for nearly 30 years, Marvel Studios? Five.

Oh yeah WB is so behind, Marvel is such an innovator.

So if they don't follow that example you're suggesting, they must otherwise be trying to catch up with Marvel? Stop making blanket statements. You clearly don't know what fans want.

I am not the ONLY one who suggested that. Cavill pretty much stated the same thing and he is after all the star of the film...at least he used to be. Plus many of the articles I have been reading have made the same complaints. Maybe you are the one who does not know what fans want... and if that is the case you should work for Warner Brothers.

I'd definitely make more money, that's for sure. You know where I work now? McDonald's. I'm an assistant manager. Here's my tags.

You know what I deal with every day I'm there? Little kids and their moms/dads. They order happy meals. Now our happy meals, they come with both apple slices and french fries, as well as a boy/girl toy, the entree, and a drink. The parent orders the happy meal, and the kid in the carseat starts shrieking: "I want french fries! I want milk!" Which is exactly what they're getting, but they don't realize it because they're toddlers. They end up throwing a tantrum, whining, angering their parent(s), which holds up the line as they try to get their child together before finishing the order.

That is what you're doing, sir.

I don't know what to think of what you stated. If you are suggesting I am getting what I asked for then it is pretty much a FACT that I am not. I outlined above what I 'wanted". And if someone is NOT getting what they want, another difference from you analogy is that the "parents" have CHOICES! They can go to your fine establishment or any of the others that serve essentially the same thing. Warner Brothers is the only company allowed to make DC movies. So I don't have choices (if you happen to be a fan of DC) and if that means I am "throwing a tantrum" and "whining" then that is what you can keep expecting until July 2015 when at that point I can write profusely about how I told you the movie would not work.

You should stop seeing comic book movies, because they hurt you so much. In the following two years they're going to be many comic book movies, and we don't want you getting anymore hurt. Then no more articles like this and you'll be ok.

Everyone would do better to criticize his points rather than the person whom you do not know.

MoS was not very interesting, gratuitous destruction, and the end left you feeling that nothing bigger can come down the pipe--the world was nearly destroyed by his people, he/they saved it, and everything is normal again.

Another thing is this. It's a damn movie if it sucks not the end of the world just another brick in the wall and if it's good then just another good movie.
