Will BATMAN's Costume In BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN Be Jim Lee's Blue & Gray Suit?

Batman-News is reporting that, a fan that was supposedly in attendance for Kevin Smith's podcast, heard Smith say that Ben Affleck's Batman costume was inspired by Jim Lee's run. Which could mean a blue and gray costume. Come voice your opinions.

Earlier today, it was reported that Kevin Smith discussed Ben Affleck's Batman costume on his weekly Hollywood Babble-On podcast. He reveals that director Zack Snyder showed Kevin an image of Ben Affleck wearing the new Batman costume for Batman Vs. Superman. When vaguely describing what he saw, he mentioned that it won't be "matrixy black armor," like in past Batman films. He added, "It seemed like it was very [Redacted] Influenced." What was redacted? Now, we might know.

Batman-News (via CBT) Reports:
Update: a fan who was at the live recording says that it was “Jim Lee” that got bleeped on the podcast.

Legendary comic book artist, Jim Lee, had had quite a bit of influence on Batman's costume over the years. When he first worked on the Caped Crusader, It was for Batman: Hush (2002-2003). Which was a 12-issue run, written by Jeph Loeb. For that, Lee designed a blue and gray costume, that you can see in the images at the top and bottom of the is article. But, Lee also re-designed the Batsuit for DC Comics' 2011 revamp, The New 52. It's more of the standard black and gray variety. An image of it appears on the right side of the article. I'll assume Kevin Smith was referring to the blue and gray costume since he made such a point of saying it's not "matrixy black armor."

In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Henry Cavill) is a young twenty-something journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond his imagination. Transported years ago to Earth from Krypton, a highly advanced, distant planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question 'Why am I here?' Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Diane Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner), Clark discovers having extraordinary abilities means making difficult decisions. When the world is in dire need of stability, an even greater threat emerges. Clark must become a Man of Steel, to protect the people he loves and shine as the world’s beacon of hope – Superman.

Man Of Steel was directed by Zack Snyder, from a script written by David Goyer. The cast includes: Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Russell Crowe, Ayelet Zurer, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Michael Shannon, Antje Traue, Christopher Meloni, Harry Lennix, Laurence Fishburne and Richard Schiff.

For a master tactician I think his colors gotta stay close to black as possible! A very dark black/blue and dark grey could work if they keep stealth in mind as Batman mostly works in the shadows!

Since Superman lost the undies, I am fairly certain it'll be the new 52 Bat-suit drawn by Jim Lee. For example:

I'm not doubting it, but something else they could possibly be doing is getting Jim Lee to make some new designs like how he did for the New 52.

Superman's outfit in the film was Kryptonian, so the theme of the Batman outfit can be far different. The Batman outfit could look like one of the outfits from Watchmen and judging on the fact that recently it was said that his outfit would look similar to the Noel comic, it could have a little Watchmen in it.

But Jim Lee's done a lot of Batman designs. If you say "It looks very Jim Lee", then I would have no idea what you'd mean.
But if you said "It looks very Frank Miller" or "It looks very Dark Knight", then I would know what you would mean, because that is a really distinctive design and look.
That Hush costume up there, of Jim Lee's is a pretty standard, generic costume.
It just doesn't ring true, for me.
At least I'm hoping it's not true, because that's quite boring.
I mean it's not boring that they're gonna go more like the comics, than the Day Murch stuff that they've been doing since Burton. That's not boring at all. But that's already been kinda spelled out, no matter what was redacted.
So for it just to be Jim Lee is kinda dull. I mean no disrespect to the most awesome Prince of Funnybooks, but his Batman is more about his actual artistic touch than a design that can be referenced to fanboys to the degree that it has to be redacted. Y'know?

I actually prefer the black armor look that we've had in the movies so far.

The black and grey works for the comics but I don't think it would look good on screen.

That being said as long as we're posting great looking Batman new 52 pics.

I would be okay with this. It would be a lot better then totally black. Also who is making the suit? Is it going to be Weta? The reason I ask that is because in the past WB wanted Weta to make the Costumes for the George Miller Justice League.

Jim Lee's design is good, he's a good artist, and the colouring works in comic format... but live action? Arkham Asylum version would be insanely cool!

Thank you, Zack. Enough with the solid black live action suits, the Arkham games have shown that the classic colors can possibly look awesome live action. Fans are pretty much vocally pointing that way on most forums anyway, ditch the rubber armor too while you are at it. Most conventional body armor is tactile, and dammit, it allows the actors and stuntmen to actually move like Batman should.

Its going to look really dumb if the suit is going to be blue and gray but then Ben is going to be Batman so this batman is going to suck anyways
