BLACK PANTHER's Everett Ross Confirmed To Return To The Marvel Cinematic Universe

After being introduced in Captain America: Civil War, Martin Freeman's Everett Ross played a key role in Black Panther this month. Now, the actor weighs in on his future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe...

Martin Freeman made a name for himself in The Office before coming to the attention of a much larger audience with The Hobbit trilogy and Sherlock. Since then, he's been cast as Everett Ross in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and his first appearance came in Captain America: Civil War back in 2016.

At the time, a lot of fans theorised that Ross could be a cover for the Red Skull (similar to the Dell Rusk character in the comic books) but the C.I.A. Agent has since proved himself to be on the side of the angels. That was evident from his role in Black Panther, anyway, and during a recent interview to promote the movie, Freeman confirmed that his time in this shared world most definitely isn't over.

"They introduced me in Civil War and said there would be a couple of other films, one of which was Black Panther," he revealed. So, where next will we see Ross make some sort of appearance?

Captain Marvel seems a likely possibility considering the fact he has a history with the Air Force but we'd probably see a younger actor take on that role for the 1990s set
release. He could also return in Avengers: Infinity War or Avengers 4 but it seems we'll just have to wait and see for now. Thoughts?

Alexander Pierce also looked like a good man ... So much so that he had tricked Nick Fury for years.

@IKidYouNotMan - he is on my short list of Skrull agents as well. Along with agent Hill. Possibly general Ross. I’ve been saying the first two since Skrulls were announced.

@noahthegrand - I hadn’t thought of this one and I like it but that would be a rather big story for what little screen time cap has left. Also let’s not make his one chance to loose his virginity be an undercover alien agent.

He was real useless in Black Panther. Seemed like someone they would’ve used as a viewpoint character (someone the Wakandans explain their world to and also the audience) but instead he showed up like halfway through. I mean, sure he flew the plane thingy but they didn’t really need to write those scenes in the first place.

Guys, do you think Chadwick Boseman has a good chance of being the highest grossing actor of 2017? Or will it be Chris Pratt again?
