Over the last week and a half we've gotten many looks at Marvel's Black Panther as he makes his debut in Captain America: The Civil War movie. Entertainment Weekly gave us another look at The Black Panther and his outstanding costume! The best to date in any comic book movie if you ask me. Now I notice there are no pictures of T'Challa who is equally as important as The Black Panther because he indeed is the man behind the mask, and it just so happens that he is the warrior king, superhero, billionaire that just so happens to be one of the best fighters in the world! Yeah I say he is pretty important. Today Marvel released Civil War behind the scene footage where the cast gave onset interviews, and we got our first look at actor Chadwick Boseman's look as T'Challa.
My only problem is that T'Challa is a "young" King and the new Black Panther, Chadwick Boseman is 39 years old and that beard doesn't scream "young"! I don't remember T'Challa having a full beard in any of the comics! WHY?
I mean they got my man Chadwick looking like Uncle S'Yan! Damn!
Here are some pictures off of Twitter of Anthony Mackie and Chadwick Boseman in a Berlin barber shop getting their hair cuts for The Civil War.
The Mos Def look! LOL!
Here is Chadwick in Georgia filming The Civil War.
Just for good measure, here is Mr. Boseman doing an interview about becoming a hero with his new T'Challa look and Marvel T-Shirt. He may have been on the set of The Civil War or in some type of studio, or theater.
In closing, I think Chadwick is a great actor, and nobody in the world is more excited to see the Black Panther make his movie debut more than me! Now I have to say that this look for T'Challa I have to get used to. It just makes me think that Marvel spent so much time and effort on the BP's suit and making him look amazing, they didn't really put much thought in how T'Challa (the young king) should look. How he looked in '42' as Jackie Robinson would have been great! He really looked young! SHAVED! Hey by the time The Civil Movie starts and I am in my seat with a big bucket of popcorn I won't give a good damn about that beard! I should be happy that I finally get to see one of my heroes on the BIG SCREEN! By the time his solo movie comes out maybe they will make some changes, he will be in his 40's by then. Tell me how you feel about T'Challa's Marvel look. I know it's not a full shot of him in costume but this is his look from the neck up! PEACE! Sound off in the comments!
