We're still waiting on that Black Adam trailer, but some intriguing new plot details about the movie may have been revealed courtesy of some upcoming McFarlane action figures.
As you can see, there will be two versions of Black Adam (we're guessing past and present), along with regular and giant-sized takes on Atom Smasher, and then standard figures for Dr. Fate, Hawkman, and Cyclone. The big news here, though, is the Sabbac "Megafig." Essentially a Build-A-Figure, it appears that this villain could be the movie's mysterious big bad.
Originally introduced in the pages of Otto Binder and Al Carreno's Captain Marvel, Jr. #4 in 1943, Timothy Karnes had similar powers to the Shazam Family and simply needed to say "Sabbac" to transform. The demonic bad guy drew his powers from the forces of Hell: Satan, Aym, Belial, Beelzebub, Asmodeus, and Crateis (hence, Sabaac).
The character would later be reinvented by Geoff Johns and Gary Frank; that version was powered by the Seven Deadly Sins of Man, and showed up as a massive demon under Black Adam's control.
How this will be adapted for Black Adam is hard to say, as the movie could definitely take some creative liberties with the villain. Giving the title character and the Justice Society of America a massive monster to fight sounds about right, though, and the Sins did factor into 2019's Shazam!.
Black Adam will electrify audiences in theaters on July 29.
