Rumors aside, we still don't know a whole lot about the upcoming Black Adam movie, but now thanks to The Illuminerdi we do have some idea of what to expect from a couple of scenes from the latest draft of Adam Sztykiel’s script.
We don't know for certain that all/any of this will reflect what winds up on screen, but with production originally scheduled to kick-off this July (expected coronavirus-related delays notwithstanding), one would assume the story has all-but taken shape at this stage.
The first scene finds Teth-Adam (Dwayne Johnson) waking from a long slumber to greet his future wife Adrianna Tomaz, aka the Egyptian God of Nature Isis, and her young son Aziz (a character created for the film). Tomaz is said to play a significant role in the script, and is described as a a "brave and fearless middle eastern woman, starkly opposed to violence and strong enough to stand beside Teth-Adam."
Their interaction ends with Adrianna mentioning that Black Adam "previously destroyed a militia after seemingly appearing out of nowhere. He expresses his intent to return to a cemetery, the last place he remembers, and Adrianna leads the way."
We also have details on a scene involving Maxine Hunkel, AKA Cyclone, being welcomed into the ranks of the Justice Society of America by Atom Smasher, Hawkman, and Dr. Fate. Apparently, Cyclone is depicted as a "motormouth" who "goes on not one, but two fanboy rants about Dr. Fate," while Atom Smasher is set up as her love interest.
What do you guys make of this? Again, we have no way of knowing if these scenes will actually make it into the finished film, but they do give us some indication of Sztykiel and director Jaume Collet-Serra's vision for the characters.
