While we don't know exactly when it will be released, a Blade reboot is on the way from Marvel Studios. It could be a film or TV series on Disney+, but Kevin Feige has previously confirmed it won't be part of Phase 4. What we do know is that Oscar-winning actor Mahershala Ali is playing the Daywalker, and he's now shared some very cool artwork on Instagram.
While this isn't necessarily indicative of how Blade will look when he makes his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut, it could be a sign of what direction Ali hopes to take the character in.
Blade: Trinity was a flop, and that short-lived TV series didn't receive much in the way of critical acclaim, but those first two movies starring Wesley Snipes are beloved. With that in mind, it's not going to be easy for Marvel Studios to top them, but they've certainly made a killer casting choice.
With COVID-19 slowing things down, it's hard to say when we'll see Blade, but it's interesting that Ali is choosing now to start teasing the reboot, and it's hard not to wonder whether news could be incoming.
