BLADE: We May Know Where Mahershala Ali's Daywalker Will Make His MCU Debut - Possible SPOILERS

Though Mahershala Ali technically made his (off-screen) debut as Blade in Eternals, a new rumor may reveal where we'll see the character appear in person for the first time ahead of his own solo movie.

As the Blade movie continues to round out its cast ahead of production getting underway later this year, a new rumor may reveal where Mahershala Ali's titular vampire hunter will make his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut.

Possible spoilers ahead.

Though Ali did technically feature in Eternals' post-credits scene (his voice could be heard off-screen), The Cosmic Circus is reporting that the Daywalker will make his first actual appearance in the upcoming Disney+ Halloween Special, which is believed to be based on Werewolf By Night. The site doesn't really have much more to add, but they have had a few significant scoops pan out in the past, so this is definitely worth paying attention to.

If Marvel Studios wants to allow more casual fans to become familiar with Blade before he leads his own movie, Werewolf By Night would be the most logical place to introduce the character. Blade seems to shaping up to be more of a team-focused adventure than we'd initially been led to believe, so perhaps the hero will recruit the Werewolf to join his supernatural group?

Eternals actor Kit Harington is expected to reprise the of Dane Whitman, and a recent casting call suggested that Blade will introduce Whitman's love interest Faiza Hussain, aka Excalibur. Krypton alum Aaron Pierre is also on board in an undisclosed part.

The still untitled Halloween Special is also scheduled to shoot this year, and stars Gael Garcia Bernal as the Werewolf(?) and Laura Donnelly as Nina Price, aka Vampire by Night.

Would be cool to see him in Moon Knight as well with the supernatural aspect of the character.

I finally saw Enternals. What does Blde have to do with Black Knight? Does the end credits scene make sense.

@TheSuperMex - it’s more of his connection to the Ebony blade. The sword is what’s bringing these two characters together. Other than that nothing really. The blade has been in Whitemans family for generations so he has ties to it while the swords originally wielded by Dracula and its supernatural attributes is where Blade comes in.

@tylerzero - Yeah, I admit I got salty. It gets tiring when people ask questions they could have easily researched their selves. I mean, we all obviously have internet access. Maybe use it for education too I guess.

Wtf? We had 3 very popular blade movies (well two) with Wesley snipes. Why do we need to introduce him to casual audiences through werewolf by night of all things?

If anything either introduce him in black knight since that character was already introduced and you set up some connection there. But even then I see nothing about the character that warrants needing a set up. Just give us the blade movie as his mcu debut. There. Done.

@Origame - I think it comes down to a lot of people being unfamiliar with Werewolf by Night and when you throw in a character as well known as Blade it puts more eyes on the screen.
Origame
Origame - 3/7/2022, 12:20 PM
@WruceBayne - yeah, but I'm more criticizing the writer for suggesting this is the best way to introduce blade as opposed to how to introduce werewolf by night. I agree that that would be a good way to get people to watch that special by making sure blade is there.

@Origame - Yeah I agree. even if the third wasn't liked, it was the most popular. The general audience already knows Blade. He was truly the first major comicbook movie that started to set the trend. Even if it didn't feel like it, it was still a Marvel property.

I would’ve had him cameo in Moon Knight as a one episode cameo where he stalks Moon Knight in the beginning of an episode just to end up teaming up for a quick minute to beat up a wear wolf and/or vampire at the end of that episode and then move the main plot along. Just saying it’d be cool and probably encourage people who don’t know Moon Knight to check it out.

is it bad that after the Batman, i dont want Blades film to be riddled with other chars who really dont belong like Dane [frick]ing Whitman. Give me a Blade movie thats a Blade movie and only a Blade movie. just my 2 cents.

Seems like they're really looking to build Blade into a big deal in the MCU. You could kinda tell that from how they announced the casting and film, but even the amount of lead up they're doing seems different
