STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI's John Boyega Still Isn't Interested In Playing Blade But Has Met With Marvel Studios

John Boyega made a rare convention appearance at Awesome Con in Washington, D.C. yesterday afternoon and the actor addressed a number of topics, including those recent conversations about Blade. While the actor has never been officially - or unofficially - linked to the role, there has been a lot of talk about him taking over from Wesley Snipes as that character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

He has, of course, already made it clear he's not interested and reiterated that when a fan dressed as the vampire hunter asked if he'd like to take on the role. Noting that doing so would be a "spit in the face of Wesley [Snipes] if I took Blade," the Star Wars: The Last Jedi actor made it clear he'd like to see Snipes reprise the role (which is extremely unlikely given his age and the current state of his career).

However, Bounding Into Comics reveals that Boyega went on to say that he's actually had meetings with Marvel Studios about potentially playing a Marvel superhero but that it would a long way down the line - presumably well after Episode IX in order to separate him from the role of Finn in that iconic franchise - and most likely won't happen in the near future. So, who could he end up playing?

We'll leave you to discuss that in the comments section below and be sure to stay tuned for updates.
