Call me a believer but I think Matt Damon can pull off Captain America. He can act, he has the physical presence and his not Will Smith.

FYI: The Matt Damon caracter in Team America was a retard NOT because the writers think Matt Damon is stupid. It was because they made a mistake when making the puppet face. Instead of trying to correct the problem they decided, "Hey, the puppet looks stupid, lets make him stupid!"

I'd be shocked if Marvel wasn't at least considering Matt Damon for Captain America. I just hope all the personalities don't clash among whoever they do cast. RDJ seems to be a good team player. The cast of Tropic Thunder LOVED him and he's had a good repoire with everyone he's worked with since he's his career back together.

I like Damon for Cap. I just don't think he can pull off the character for 10+ years in multiple solo & Avengers movies. It puts him over 50!

I agree - he's perfect. He's even from the Northeast, just like Steve Rogers. I don't think his age is a problem - he lives pretty clean and takes care of himself. He still has a young looking face, and make-up can make him look even younger. His height is perfect - right between RDJ and Chris Hemsworth. Most importantly - he can act and hold his own with the best actors today.

UGH! I HATE matt Damon! He is about a real an actor as a cardboard box!!!! NOOOO to him! EWWW... common, you're killing me! he doesnt even look like Captain America. At least jason has the look of CAppy... idk about his acting though... but UGH!!! no to Matt DAMHIM! >:P

and no... imho he doesnt have the presence at all. He seems weasley, snively and not someone I would see as a commander or leader position. nope. he doesnt.

nahhhh... matt dammnon is crap. all the roles... not one movie has he done that left me feeling as though I was lost in the movie, in the character. he sucks. as for cap.... NEXT! Its not about liking him or not. He just cant act.

Heath didnt look like the joker? but the performance and level of actor let him become it. THATS the difference of a good actor. The look says nothing to an extent... and IF you got the acting chops to pull it off.

as for having to look like the joker... really... all you needed was the makeup and that took care of that. Even Obama looked like the joker.... are they going to use make up on Matt to look like Captain America? that wont help. He's just not Captain America.



as for Christian Bale... I still dont like him as Bruce Wayne. For Batman... its just a mask, its the character you have to make come across. Something imho Matt doesnt have the skills to do.
