Captain America: Civil War has already passed the worldwide haul of Captain America: The Winter Soldier and is expected to reach $950 million by the end of the weekend. As a result, $1 billion is guaranteed at this point, and it could very well go on to earn more than Iron Man 3 did back in 2013. Throw in the overwhelmingly positive reviews from fans and critics, and this is another win for Marvel.

Now, directors Joe and Anthony Russo have taken to Instagram to thank fans for making Captain America: Civil War such a success, and even take the opportunity here to tease Avengers: Infinity War.

Love these guys. You can tell that they (along with Markus and mcfeely) really understand the characters and the world. I can't wait to see what they do next.

Thanks to you for bringing these movies to the big screen. I have seen this movie 5 times and plan on taking my newphews this weekend for their first. Cannot wait to see what the Russo brothers have in store for Infinity War movies. Good time to be alive!
