As many of you know by now, I’ve conducted several interviews over the past few months with a fair few comic book writers and the odd inker as well. When I recently contacted an artist (who has asked me not to name them) to see if he had the time to talk to me, he was unfortunately too busy. However, after a few emails and a lot begging, he was willing to share one juicy bit of information with me.
"...even though they [Marvel Studios] are doing most of the concept work themselves I was asked to give my opinion on what they’ve come up with for Zemo and it looks amazing. Very close to the comic book but far less cartoonish and a lot more realistic."
Although the artist in question isn’t working on The First Avenger, he assured me that it was 3 or 4 months ago when a close friend of his, who is working on the movie as a concept artist, showed him the images he mentions above. (which apparently were of a similar style to the Captain America and Thor ones that were released a few weeks ago)
This news doesn’t confirm his appearance in the movie of course but it certainly indicates that Marvel were at least thinking about it and that by now they might have already decided to include Baron Zemo in Captain America: The First Avenger! Have your say about this rumor in the usual place!
