Marvel Studios concept artist Ryan Meinerding does some truly incredible work and some of that can be seen in the fanfare which kicks off the movies set within the ever expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe. We now have a closer look at a piece featuring Captain America leading his Howling Commandos into battle and it's fair to say this is a gorgeous piece which is definitely wallpaper worthy!

Interestingly, this comes from Captain America: The Winter Soldier, a movie which sadly didn't feature as many World War II flashbacks as fans hoped (and it needed them to flesh Bucky's history out).

The next time we'll see Steve Rogers is in Avengers: Infinity War but he won't be Captain America after handing the shield over to Iron Man at the end of Captain America: Civil War. It seems inevitable that he'll suit up eventually, though, and we'll just have to wait and see what that costume looks like. Needless to say, Meinerding has probably already designed something that will knock our socks off!
