The most recent set images for the much-anticipated Captain America: The First Avenger movie, reveals the submarine that was speculated when the production crew would move to Stanley Dock, in Liverpool. And in addition to that, a few more high quality shots of Chris Evans on the "Manchester" set, and footage captured of his stunt double doing what he does best; stunts.

Over at the Liverpool Daily Post, in addition to spotting Evans heading to the location in Stanley Dock, they've revealed images of the Submarine built for the film, believed to be a product of HYDRA.

And speaking of Chris Evans, more high quality images have been revealed, courtesy of Flickr user, AgeOwns. They show the actor & his prosthetic feet in the same attire, which hes outgrown from his physical transformation into Captain America.

And last, Evans' stunt-double was captured doing stunt, where the scene involves Steve Rogers finally catching up to the car hes been chasing all through the streets of Brooklyn, grabbing it's rear bumper. And he'll eventually find his way on top of the car, where further details are revealed HERE (Spoiler Warning)

Filming in the area will continue, as a local spotted the production crew setting up in Stockport, which is a large town in Greater Manchester, England. The local managed to capture a shot of the crew setting up, that you can see HERE. In the meantime, Captain America: The First Avenger hits theaters July 22,in 3D next year.

Damn Evans is jacked! Hooray roids and HGH!

Still, these shots are looking pretty cool, I'm with Odin too the Hydra tech looks awesome and very Rocketeerish, it would be sweet if Stark Industry had something to do with it.

In the beginning, I was very critical of the futuristic look of all the machinery. I was hoping for something more realistic during that time period, but when I saw that pic of the submarine, I understand now why things look the way they do. They are going for the Roy Thomas look. His run on the Invaders had alot of futuristic looking machinery. Even the Zepplins had bat like wings and a power source alot like our jets do today. I still don't like the shoulder pads and especially the shoulder stars, but I'm willing to keep my fears to a minimum now until the movie comes out.

As far as Stark being involved in the technology? I don't think that would be the case. Doesn't make sense unless he was working Ivan Vanko's russian father who, for some reason or another (ala arc technology) defected to Germany.

Odinsbeard, no doubt in my mind he took some enhancements, he put on that extra muscle weight in what, a year? I don't think it's HGH though because that tends to give people the caveman head and makes their faces look puffy, e.g., Stallone.

@theartofoneness - Aw, come on. Its just one scene, and a predictable one at that. If we start getting leaked footage of Red Skull vs Cap fights, than yes. Its time to sign off.

I realize for many knowing too much is a problem but I am quite the opposite. I will see, watch, read, everything about a movie. That is in and of itself fun sometimes.

None of that touches the actual experience of seeing the film for me though. The totality of it is just so much more than all the tiny parts.

Oh and...

Great Stuff DCMarvelFreshman!

the filming location in stockport reminds me of a comic i used to have with him, wolverine, a young black widow, and some midget lady club hostess. that was one of my favorite comic books back then. :)

@TheDarqueOne- I'm so with you on that one, buddy! I could read the script and see footage of every scene and it still makes me giddy when the theater lights dim.

If one more person asks "what's up with Cap's feet?", I think my head is going to explode!

Isn't cap supposed to be blonsky times 10? Pretty sure blonsky got a low dosage right? Cap better be fast a extremely agile is combat. They have to make Thor and cap just as powerful as iron man but if different ways.
