GOTG Actor Lee Pace Shares Video Teasing His Return As Ronan The Accuser In CAPTAIN MARVEL

Ronan the Accuser seemingly met his maker at the end of Guardians of the Galaxy, but the fanatical Kree baddie will return in Captain Marvel, which is set before the events of James Gunn's film.

Now, Lee Pace (The Hobbit) has shared a video to his Twitter page which shows the actor arriving to a scenic location while wearing a Captain Marvel cap. Though fans have speculated that Pace might be arriving to the set of the film here, he actually appears to be in Camargue in the south of France, as the Pont du Gard is visible in the vid.

We're not sure if Pace shared the footage because he'll soon be shooting his scenes as Ronan, or if he already has and simply fancied promoting the Marvel Studios feature while on vacation! The beard certainly suggests it's the latter, at any rate.

Tell us, are you looking forward to seeing Ronan return? Drop us a comment in the usual place. Captain Marvel is set to fly into theaters on March 8, 2019.

Lee Pace is a good actor but I wasn’t a huge fan of Ronan. His and Corey Stoll’s performances were too much “loud, angry bad guy.”

Maybe this flick will turn my mind around

@regularmovieguy - I liked him bc he was the perfect antithesis of the Guardians, he was extremely straightforward and serious which played off the Guardians being so unorganized and ridiculous in the right way. He way the “straight man” of the movie like Cable in Deadpool he grounded it and gave something for the more ridiculous moments and characters to bounce off of especially Quill

I know Ronan is apparently a better character in the comics, but I’m not sure if I want this prequel to “redeem” him. I love the first GOTG movie but it wasn’t particularly flattering for his character. And if this movie does great with Ronan, then it might retroactively hurt the first GOTG movie by making Ronan’s embarrassing defeat into even more of a let down.
