ALIEN: COVENANT Director Sir Ridley Scott Is In Talks To Helm QUEEN AND COUNTRY For Fox

Queen and Country was an underrated series that followed the exploits of Tara Chace, a highly skilled operative in a fictional sector of the British Intelligence Service. The series ran from March 2001 to August 2007 and was illustrated by artists such as Steve Rolston, Leandro Fernandez and Chris Samnee.

This would be a perfect project for the distinguished director as he often excels in telling stories featuring compelling female characters. If the deal is successful, Scott will also produce in collaboration with Chernin Entertainment.

Ellen Page was set to play the lead much earlier in the development cycle. We'll keep you posted as soon as an actress is selected for the role.

Are you familiar with the comics? If so, are you looking forward to Sir Ridley Scott directing the film? Share your thoughts in the comments section.

Let the man make the art he wants to make. If you don't have to pay for it and don't have to watch it, turn your back. If he stopped making movies when people told him to, we would have been deprived of quite a bit, The Martian most recently.

@MosquitoFarmer - well said. I feel sorry for some directors nowadays.if a film doesnt meet some people's expectations to a tee its an immediate failure.some people are unbelievably stupid

@Solarkalel85 - Yeah. We seem to have arrived at the point that if a movie isn't a masterpiece, it is therefore pretty much garbage. At least in the minds of far too many people.

I will always respect Mr. Scott's work. He has always done what he thinks is right. Overall, he has had more hits than misses. I'm one of many who still wants to see the next entry in the Alien franchise. So, the only thing I can say is, Mr. Scott, I wish you Success!

@fundamentallyOT - I would love to see his next Alien film. Prometheus and Covenant were brutal (if not far from perfect in each their own rights). I've enjoyed the hell out of both, and I want more!

@fundamentallyOT - As flawed as Covenant was I still preferred it over half of the other Alien films and really appreciated Prometheus. I need to see the end of the Engineer/David saga, I will be severely disappointed if he doesn't get to do one more movie to wrap things up.

I’m still pissed that Blomkamp isn’t gegging his Alien movie.

Hes not the big gun he once was. Prometheus was a mess....and Covenant was great until he made David as the "inventor" of the Xenos.......even tho they've been around for THOUSANDS of years !!!!!!! What the F was he thinking ??
