Ever since the comic book creation of who is now known to be called the hero, SHAZAM, DC Comics have kept his continuity pretty much intact with a few minor changes throughout the years. Now, in the wake of The Darkseid War, DC has made the decision to make a new SHAZAM! What does that mean exactly? Well, that means that SHAZAM's pantheon of gods has been changed. Billy no longer has The Wisdom of Solomon, The Strength of Hercules, The Stamina of Atlas, The Power of Zeus, The Courage of Achilles, and The Speed of Mercury.
They have decided to give Billy Batson a new pantheon of gods, one of which includes someone you wouldn't believe . . . Darkseid's father, Yuga Khan. According to one of those gods, the reason for this is due to Darkseid's death and how it sent a shockwave that disrupted his connection to his gods. According to the Wizard, Billy's connection to the gods was through permission to use their power and he no longer has it. There was also the reveal of the Source, "where all things come from and return" which includes the gods. It is also revealed that Billy had no idea of his original pantheon of gods. Billy Batson's new pantheon of SHAZAM is now made up of The Strength of S'Ivaa, The Fires of H'Ronmeer, The Compassion of Anapel, The Source Manipulation of Zonuz (Darkseid's Father), The boldness of Ate, and The Lightning of Mamaragan, the Wizard!
