Arrow Season 4 Premiere Title Revealed

Arrow Season 4 Premiere Title Revealed

New villains, more sense of humor and a new direction for the emerald archer were some of the things teased for the new season of Arrow at this year’s Comic-Con, and with this being the title for the first episode of the fourth season, looks like the series will deliver everything as promised.

Saturday was probably the DC Comics day, a lot of news from the movies, TV and comics in one of the best days of this year's San Diego Comic-Con. In the TV side one of the biggest announcements was Oliver's (Stephen Amell) new costume in Arrow, which was revealed by Amell during a big speech that made clear that we can expect to see the Green Arrow actually coming to life in the fourth season.

While no one has said directly that Ollie's new secret identity will be called Green Arrow – since for all effects the Arrow died with Roy Harper –, executive producer and co-showrunner Marc Guggenheim posted on his Twitter an image of the script of the first episode of season four, called ''Green Arrow''.

This obsession with calling him Green Arrow, when in the comics he's mostly called just Arrow. Yeah he's still Green Arrow, but it's just like how the Joker calls Batman "Bats"

Well seeing him finally being called Green Arrow will be nice. I hope this year Starling City will become Star City too. We know it was planned to get a name change and I hope that's still the plan.

@Batmannightwing
Your an idiot. Hell yes people complained about him not being GREEN Arrow.

That's the damn characters damn name! It's taken them 4 seasons to finally do it?
That's a legitimate gripe if there ever was one.

I won't be satisfied until I hear that name actually used all the time.
The show is pretty good & calling him by his real name will improve it.

What a shocker!

Lol.

I would've preferred 'I Am The Green Arrow', though. It would sound more like a comparison to S3's finale "My Name Is Oliver Queen".

@sameoldthing

Did people have to complain about an evolution that the writers spoke about since the beginning, though? Why are people so frustrated for slow-burning storylines?

@megabatfan

He can still be referred to as 'Arrow' even now, but I think the addition of 'Green' is just an evolution so Ollie isn't a killer and a torturer that he has been in the previous three seasons. Imo, I've always been a huge fan of the evolution the writers have given Ollie simply because the comics have always flipped-flopped of Ollie being a killer and then being a hero so now he started out as a killer and now trying to be more, now finally becoming The Green Arrow.

And what I don't get it, people said Arrow was like Batman....this was a sly way, imo, of making him feel like Batman while in the comics, Green Arrow started out like a Batman comparison with a cave, an Arrowcar, Arrowplane, etc. With the show, it's just Ollie's attitude that felt like Batman.

Honestly i don't mind the Batman comparisons and use of each others villains. From what we can see it's a universe their building. Villains and Heroes cross over. Once they don't take too much of one character's established story and give it to another. For example I had no problem with Ra's bei g the season 3 big bad, but wanting Oliver to take over the League, marry Nyssa... that is way too much of Batman's story
