COMICS: Bryan Q. Miller Introduces "Princess Diana" Into SMALLVILLE Season 11

She won't be going by the name Wonder Woman just yet, but Miller has exclusively revealed to MTV Geek that the iconic DC superheroine will make her Smallville debut in issue #16. Check out the teaser image after the jump.

Miller on what we can expect from this interpretation of the character:

"For "Smallville," I've tried to mine and exploit the characteristics that, to me, embody the best of any interpretation of Wonder Woman. Strength. Intelligence, Nobility. And, most importantly, Love. But when we first meet Diana, she isn't being called "Wonder Woman" just yet. She's got a very specific mission. There's a very big reason that she left the island, which we'll eventually cover. Does she have the bracelets? Oh, yes. Like you see on the cover. And pants, of course. Regarding the rest of her "traditional" look - something tells me she might find her way to a lasso and some armor by the time all is said and done!"

There's more at the link below. What do you think of this introduction? I haven't been reading the comic (I barely watched the tv show!), is it any good? Sound of in the usual place.

@DioFoRio I only read the first few arcs digitally but from what I did read it was better than the majority of all 10 seasons

I love Smallville and I've read almost every issue that's come out in season 11. I'm glad that at least on this cover, Superman is back to looking more like Tom Welling.

I personally love the fact that the comic book series is following the design aesthetic of the TV series - absolutely none at all.

The fans of Arrow are pretty much your run of the mill comic book fans that liked the Dark Knight trilogy. Let's all admit it's our guilty pleasure.

Smallville basically attracted no original comic book fans, but made a hell lot of live journals in tribute to the series.

Actually pretty exited to see how this plays out. Whatever happened to that Amazon show the CW were developing? It's about time this character got to show what she is capable of in a tv series or film with a good creative team behind it, people who actually care about the character and the story and not just showing off a sexy raven haired girl in a tight costume

Smallville:
Good tv show,
Bad comic book.

I liked the Blade series, but it seemed as though Blade was more of a supporting character to Jill Wagner's character.

Don't get to into it though. I don't mean to spoil it for you, but it was cancelled with a cliffhanger.
