Robert Liefeld, best known as the co-founder of Image Comics and creator of Marvel's favorite Merc with a Mouth, has exploded on Twitter today with words of support for DC's New 52. As half of the creative team behind Hawk & Dove, Liefeld touts his title's sales figures, which have reached 50,000 units so far this month, as affirmation for the success of DC's reboot. Check out the transcript to read more.

Liefeld seems like one excited dude, and he's pretty much convinced me to check out his new take on Hawk & Dove, which is one of the relaunch titles I'm not too hyped about.

Out of all the 52 I'd stay far far away from Liefields
Hawk & Dove.In people don't blame the poor writer,when
your artist can't draw a tender moment between father
and son why bother putting effort into the story.

Liefeld traces.. and yet, he STILL can't draw feet lol. Honestly though, his characters' dead eyes disturb me much more than the fact that they all have more than their fair share of left feet.

@kevberg Your right I didn't notice that.Does anyone
know the image he ripped off with Shield agents in it?

Of course he loves the idea of the new 52.

It's the same idea he and Jim Lee came up with 15 years ago at Marvel, except back then it was called "Heroes Reborn".

@Curmudgeon Was I alone in enjoying Lee's Fantastic Four?
I don't feel Heroes Reborn was a bad idea just bad
execution giving Liefeld most of the big books.

You could fill a cargo ship with all of the [frick]s that I don't give about Liefeld's opinion on ANYTHING.

Lord Loki has spoken

@FatsMcLemlich Ya I'm hoping hes joking it's hard to read.
He keeps referring to Liefeld as Rob(HALLELUJAH)Liefeld
with what seems like a hint of sarcasm, but I'm not sure.
I feel the art speaks for itself.
You might be right about Heroes Reborn I've haven't
read it in ages, but I remember liking Lee's work.

he still can't draw, sorry dude, you haven't improved. A friend of mine said she knows an inker who had to fix all of Liefeld's artwork. I doubt he will last on the book since...well he is a sell out now. Wasn't him leaving Marvel and DC because he can't be creative with the characters since they are owned by their respective companies.....uhhhhh thats a sellout in my book
