This spring, DC will launch a weekly title called Batman: Eternal. It will feature stories penned by Scott Snyder, James Tynion IV, John Layman, Ray Fawkes, and Tim Seeley. Art will be provided by Jason Fabok and others to be determined. The book will interact with the monthly Batman title when it comes into the present upon Zero Year's conclusion in mid 2014.

"It's a place for me to be able to work with good friends in terms of shaping Gotham in a bigger, grander and more game-changing way than ever before," Snyder told USA Today. He continues, "we're gonna give you the biggest, craziest and most fun stuff we've done on the book and in the world of Gotham."

Snyder is also set to contribute to the 96 page Detective Comics #27 available January 8. It will be written by Snyder, Paul Dini, Brad Meltzer, Gregg Hurwitz and Peter Tomasi. It will feature art from Neal Adams, Dustin Nguyen and Francesco Francavilla. And get this: a two page spread provided by none other than FRANK MILLER. It will also kick off "Gothtopia", the final arc by Layman and Fabok.

Also in the spring, outgoing Flash creative team Brian Buccellato and Francis Manapul take over Detective Comics. And they do stress the word "Detective."

"We want to bring him closer to his roots and be more of a street-level type of hero. His superheroics will still be present, but the investigative part of Batman will be at the forefront," Manapul divulged to USA Today.
