DC Comics Unveils A Drastic New Look For Jason Todd's RED HOOD

Red Hood is a fan-favourite character and someone fans are anxious to see brought to the big screen. Now, Jason Todd is getting a drastic new look which is bound to leave fans of the comic books talking...

In recent months, Jason Todd has been completely out of control and that culminated recently when he seemingly gunned down The Penguin and outed his secret identity on live television, something which obviously puts Bruce Wayne at risk as people know he's one of the billionaire's adopted sons. Now, things are about to get even crazier for the vigilante as he's now set to receive a makeover.

In the next issue of Red Hood and the Outlaws, not only will Jason Todd come to blows with Batman but he'll
don a costume which is a huge departure from what we're used to but still pretty damn cool.

Pete Woods came up with the suit and while an argument could be made that the character is due an update, many fans will no doubt miss what has become an iconic look for the character. As of right now, there's no indication that Red Hood is coming to the big screen and he was clearly never going to be part of The Batman seeing as Zack Snyder has confirmed that the Dead Robin in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was Dick Grayson (which follows what Frank Miller did in the comics).

What do you guys think about Red Hood's new look? As always, share your thoughts down below.

@SuperSomething616 - it's kinda disturbing. And not the most practical weapon.

@Jaspion - It is a very practical weapon. It is relatively lightweight, solid, damaging, can be used for bludgeoning or stabbing, and also doubles as a reliable tool for opening locked doors or containers so you don't have to carry extra tools.

Pretty damn cool?
That's LAUGHABLE.
Unless Casey Jones looking like he had a really bad day is suddenly Jason Todd’s new motif.

The crowbar is a nice touch, but everything else...yeah, that's a no for me dawg.

Overall I'm not feeling it, looks like something from Mortal Kombat or a TMNT villain. With some minor tweaks though I think it could be great:

- Keep the hood but make the vest thing a full leather jacket like his old one
- slim him down a bit, he's never been a big muscular brute and it looks odd that he is now
- maybe give him the full helmet thing back but incorporate elements of this mask into it, like red eyes on a black domino mask with the full face red mask around that

Design change is not always a good thing. But it will no doubt change again. It's a hell of an improvement over green pixie boots.

Very Ninja Turtles, but I like it more than the mask with mouth pictured above, why cant it just be a helmet with no mouth.

I like it, minus the crowbar. Jacket was cool, but some variety is nice now and then.

Wait, what?! Jason Todd WAS the dead Robin in The Dark Knight Returns. Which is why Zack Snyder officially killing off Dick Grayson in the DCEU, would've been the ultimate troll move.😂 Him using a crowbar, is a bit odd. The Batfamily is so f**ked up, because there isn't a strong and calming maternal figure in it. Catwoman would be awesome in that role. But Batman writers just don't have enough imagination, or desire to continue character development. Red Hood fighting Batman? Why?! Repeating the same sh!t over and over again,is boring.

Hate this look. It's a RIP off of a Mortal Kombat ninja. Doesn't fit him at all.

New 52 costume was the best for Jason. Why change it?

The mask combo is kinda alright, but everything else...?

Garbage.
