DC Has the BEST "Event" Comics

Who has the better events that take place in their universes. Does Marvel's Dark Reign outshine DC's Blackest Night? This has become a new found interesting question that I talked with a friend about...

DC seems to have more interesting story-lines and broad scopes with their characters. Heres a few of the DC event comics: The Judas Contract, Crisis on Infinite Earths, Blackest Night, Infinite Crisis, Sinestro Corp War, Death and Rebirth of Superman, Zero Hour, Identity Crisis, and Final Crisis. Marvel has from what I have read and looked on the webs: The Infinity saga, Secret Wars, One More Day(AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH), House of M, Civil War, Secret Invasion, Dark Reign, Siege, Clone Saga, and Dark Phoenix Saga. It is tough to compare these 2 considering both companies have different characters. Also DC did the one thing Marvel hasn't done. DC has condensed a ton of universes and characters into a smaller batch of universes, Marvel has one main universe and a variety of multiverses that on occasion conjoin but never held together like DC. Let me hear what you think. This is an open discussion and I want to hear as many opinions as possible. Keep it clean tho. BlackAirs OUT!!

It ultimately depends on the writer. DC does tend to attract slightly better ones..or at least, I prefer them. But its all good.

I prefer Marvel's events. I admit that I don't read as much DC, but some of their events just seem a little too complicated. For example, I read Superman: Birthrght and loved it. Then I find out that it's out of continuity because Infinite Cirsis did some weird crap and shifted the dimensions so that certain stuff has to be rewritten. Marvel's event's don't really change the already established worlds as much and they flow a bit more. Dark Reign is really isn't an event. It's the itme period between Secret Invasion and Seige. Civil War is my favorrite Marvel event. I'm currently looking for Sinestro Corps part 2 because part one was awesome. Again, I must stress that since I don't really read DC, I can't really criticize.
@dellamorte1872 of House of M, Civil War, World War Hulk, and Secret Invasion, which of those is Spider-man centric? He plays a key role often, but I wouldn't say they're centered on him.

DC's events are king. End of story.

Blackest Night has been blowing my mind, and is showing no signs of slowing down. Especially with Brightest Day announced. Crisis on Infinite Earths pretty much set the bar for event titles, and Sinestro Corps War was one of the amazing things I've ever read. DC wins.
