DC UNIVERSE Announces That It Will Add The Entire DC Comics Digital Library

DC Universe used WonderCon to make a few huge announcements about its scripted programs, but the biggest reveal might have been the announcement that the entire DC Comics library will be added in April.

The DC Universe panel at WonderCon included news on Swamp Thing, Titans and Young Justice: Outsiders, but the biggest news arguably pertains to the comic book side of the $7.99/month streaming platform. Beginning in April, the entire DC Comics digital library will be added to the service. The catch is that going forward from this date, new issues won't be added until 12 months after their release.

The process of adding the backlog will be ongoing, meaning everything won't become available on April 1. Instead, issues will be added at a regular pace in what's being described as an ongoing process.

Honestly this might make me make the purchase.

Never been a comics guy but been looking to dip my toes in. Would probably subscribe to Marvel and DC if they both did this.

This is the best thing to happen to the service in a while. This will make comics so much more affordable and accessible.

I wonder if Disney+ will be offering the same thing? Not too familiar with online comic options. This is great news though for DC. This might make me purchase this. Good on them.

@VicSage - well, there is already Marvel unlimited. And I wouldn’t be surprised if that gets folded into Disney+

This is great news and can only help make it so people can't live without having a subscription to DC Universe.

@NinnesMBC - exactly what I wanted to say. I really don’t get why they don’t go international
