This past March, Warner Bros. created a video game studio in Montreal (WB Games Montreal) with big plans in mind. Now those plans have taken a step forward.
The company has hired Martin Carrier and Reid Schneider to head up WB Games Montreal.
“WB Games Montreal has begun to take shape with many new hires and the appointments of gaming industry veterans Martin Carrier and Reid Schneider to lead the studio," said the firm’s development vice president Samantha Ryan.
“Martin and Reid have the interactive experience needed to lead the team in making quality games utilizing our major properties. They will continue to build the team, and are currently hiring talented developers.”
It looks like the company will primarily focus on bringing DC Comics properties to fans consoles everywhere. The company will be in full production by 2015, but expect product from them before that date.
This information is great for fans of DC Comics and video games. It sounds like Warner Bros realizes what a cash-cow their DC Comics division could be, given the right help.
