In the pages of Nick Spencer's Amazing Spider-Man, Peter Parker is currently being targeted by the villainous Kindred. Recently, we learned that it's Harry Osborn beneath the mask (yes, it's a mask), and it now remains to be seen what he has in store for the web-slinger.
Since Spencer's run on the title began, we've learned that Kindred can resurrect the dead, invade Spidey's nightmares, and even control monstrous insects. Whatever his plan might be, it's beginning to look like it will all tie into "One More Day" and Harry's mysterious return from the dead.
Now, former Amazing Spider-Man artist Ryan Ottley (who left the series to work on other projects) has shared some of his early designs for Kindred, saying, "My initial designs for Kindred, the big bad villain in current [Amazing Spider-Man]. Don’t think I’ve showed these before!"
Getting this early glimpse into Kindred's creation is really interesting, and it seems the plan was always to channel Batman villain Hush (things are definitely getting as personal for Peter as they did for the Caped Crusader all those years ago). Next week's issue of Amazing Spider-Man is expected to reveal even more about the villain as the "Last Remains" storyline contines to play out.
