Marvel fans of all ages unite! Today, Marvel Entertainment (via
twitter) has released the mysterious image with a one-word description:
GENERATIONS. It remains unclear, if it's the next chapter of Civil War II, a big team-up, or maybe something completely fresh. Everything we know, is that the project will be released this summer and will unite heroes of all "generations"; the "original" characters (interestingly, suited up in the "classic" costumes) and their all-new, all-different counterparts.
The image features 11 pairs (from left to right):
Phoenix (Jean Grey with her younger self),
Wolverine (Logan with X-23),
Thor (Odinson with Jane Foster),
Captain America (Steve Rogers with Sam Wilson),
Nova (Richard Ryder with Sam Alexander),
Captain Marvel (Mar-vell with Carol Danvers),
Ms. Marvel (Carol Danvers with Kamala Khan),
Hawkeye (Clint Barton with Kate Bishop),
Iron Man (Tony Stark with Riri Williams),
Spider-Man (Peter Parker with Miles Morales) and
Hulk (Bruce Banner with Amadeus Cho). This beautiful
GENERATIONS cover is painted by Alex Ross (
MARVELS, JUSTICE).
