Marvel Comics has announced today that Donny Cates (Venom) and Ryan Ottley's (Amazing Spider-Man) first Hulk story arc will reach a stunning conclusion with this April's issue #6.

As Bruce Banner's control over Starship Hulk slips, something much worse takes the wheel. The new threat that emerges promises to smash the Hulk mythos to its core and will fuel Bruce Banner’s rage for the foreseeable future; as you can see below, this new "Hulk" looks truly terrifying!

"This new threat is basically the Hulk’s Knull, but just like Donny and Ryan’s run on Hulk overall, it’s crazier and more dangerous than you can imagine," editor Wil Moss said in a press release today. "The heroes of the Marvel Universe may think Hulk is the problem, but he’s not - THIS is the problem. And after Hulk #6, there’s no stopping it..."

It remains to be seen whether this latest transformation is going to be separate to the Jade Giant or a new facet of his personality that emerges when he gets really angry. Either way, it's an exciting direction to take the character in and comes just in time for the recently announced Hulk vs Thor event

Hulk #6 goes on sale this April, and you can check out a horrifying teaser image below:
