COMICS: [SPOILER] Will Return In Jason Aaron And Esad Ribic’s MARVEL LEGACY One Shot

As some of you will already have guessed, Wolverine will be returning from the dead in the pages of Jason Aaron and Esad Ribic’s Marvel Legacy one-shot, which will be in stores on Wednesday, Sept. 27.

The exact circumstances of his resurrection remain a mystery for now, but we do know that he'll be bringing an Infinity Stone will him when he rejoins the land of the living.

Here's what Marvel editor-in-chief Axel Alonso had to say about Logan's long-awaited comeback to ComicBook.com:

"Yes, Logan is back from the dead. After three years of a Logan-free Marvel Universe, Logan is back, claws popped and ready for action. How he came back, why he came back, and just how he came into possession of that Infinity Stone are part of a fascinating story that's going to unveil soon, and in some unusual places."

Upon Logan's demise in the Death of Wolverine miniseries back in 2014, the mantle of Wolverine passed to X-23, and we also have Old Man Logan currently headlining his own series. What will the original Logan's return mean for these characters?

We'll have to wait and see how things play out, but in the meantime let us know what you think about this huge news in the comments section below.

@Starkwilldie - Then I guess Captain Mar-vell has been dead for 400 eternities. I'm surprised they haven't tried to bring him back yet.

To be fair, they left him dead longer than anyone expected.

@RorMachine - That's because of Fox mainly.

But, if Old Man Logan was there does it really count as a "Logan-less" universe?

3 years is a long time in comics whne you have series every week. It's a good absense time. Don't bitch.

If the Soaps constantly bring back characters from the dead, then no reason why the comics can't either. In fact with comics having sci fi and mystical elements, it makes way more sense...lol.

About time. Marvel hasn't been the same since he left. And that Old Man was no sort of replacement for the real deal.

I thought it was going to be Uncle Ben. I have to agree with others. The only thing surprising about this is how long he stayed dead.

Is this Legacy event a reboot of all the comics (like Rebirth)? I'm just very confused.
I'm reading the Jean Grey solo series yet simultaneously there is Jean Grey Generations comic: both of which she is speaking to a deceased Adult Jean Grey in two different scenarios.
Are the generation comics simply "what ifs?", because it seems like the Jean Grey Solo series would naturally lead to the resurrection of Adult Jean grey, since she is communicating with her ghost,

@StormXmen123 -
Rebirth wasn't a Reboot, it was a relaunch, and Legacy will be the same thing.
Tecnically, Marvel never did a reboot, eventhough they did a shit ton of retcons which basically had the same effect in the long run.

The Jean Grey book will "probably" lead to Adult Jean Grey's return, but i would't bet on it.
The Generations book are all one shots, part of the continuity not what ifs? and...basically these heroes have a chance to meet the old heroes thanks to a pseudo-time travel, Alonso was just bullshitting us (like always) when he said there was no magic or time travel or anything, like who gives a shit about this Vanishing Point, seriously?
Anyway, that happened near the end of Secret Empire, thanks to Kobik where she just zapped all these heroes back in time (that's why the Young Jean Grey met the old one).
In Jean Grey's case was pointless, since Hopeless (the writer) basically did the same thing with her, but whatever...

@Doomsday8888 - Thanks.
I by reboot I did mean, just a huge redshift in the stories and characters just to get them all back to were Marvel want them (eg the real wolverine alive, the real Jean grey back etc).
I haven't read Secret Empire, I've mostly bee sticking to solo series and the xmen. With the Jean Grey series and her generations i assumed they were connected in a story sense, since the whole plot of her Solo series is to understand the Phoenix force.
To behonest, I'm so used to the continuity of the Star Wars comics (were we know we're very thing fits in on the timeline) I try to do that with the Marvel comics: but I think the best thing to do is to just treat each comic series as it own contained story.

Yeah pretty much, don't bother with Marvel's continuity, trust me, ESPECIALLY when it comes to the X-Men! :P
50+ years of time travel, alternate future/past parallel earths and aaaall that, it's just...big clusterf*ck at this point.
Don't give much attention yo the generations one shots, just stick with the ongoings and you'll be fine.
