House of X #1 revealed that the X-Men have started their own mutant nation on Krakoa, while
Powers of X #1 took us into the past, present, and future to see how this new status quo will eventually play out for the heroes. Well,
House of X #2 drops a huge bombshell by revealing that Dr. Moira MacTaggert is, in fact, a mutant.
Her ability is reincarnation. Each time she dies, she travels back in time and starts her life over again with the memories of what happened the last time. Over the course of this issue, we see her try to save the mutant race in various ways, but all of them fail with the emergence of A.I.
No matter what she does (whether it's becoming one of Apocalypse's Acolytes, aligning herself with Magneto, or telling Charles Xavier what happens in the future), things always end the same way and we know from Powers of X #1 that the threat of those robots is also relevant in this timeline, which is actually her tenth life. We know she tells Charles about her past lives, so that could explain his new outlook.
There are clearly a lot of gaps that still need to be filled in, but this pretty much confirms that both of these titles should actually be pronounced "House of Ten" rather than "House of X."
